Chapter 26: Don't LeΔve My Side

Paul: "Have you gotten stronger yet?"

Barry: "I want answers now! Why did you do this?! Why did you leave our friendship behind?!"

Paul says nothing. Barry rushes and tries to punch him, but Paul evades him.

Paul: "There's no doubt you're with Alain's group since I saw Zoey on that news segment. And you're all back in Sinnoh. This just got more interesting."

Barry: "SHUT UP AND COME BACK HOME WITH US, RIGHT NOW!"

Barry flails at Paul over and over, but Paul easily steps out the way every time.

Barry: "I'M GONNA KILL YOU FOR THIS! PAUL! YOU JERK!!!"

After a dodge, Paul kicks Barry in the back of the head and sends him down.

Kenny: *runs up* "BARRY!"

Barry: *gets up and turns around* "Kenny? Where did you come from?"

Kenny: "I followed you here when you left the room. You don't need to do this!"

Barry: *glares at him angrily* ..........

Kenny: "So this is the Paul I've been hearing about!"

Paul: "You're still not a Manipulator, Barry? Pathetic. You're still weak. I'll be popping up every now and then on your journey. Get some power."

He throws a ball down, which emits a huge cloud of smoke. When it clears, he's gone.

Kenny: "He's gone... Crap..."

Barry: "Yes... I think I have to do this."

Kenny: "What are you talking about?"

Barry: "I have to become a Dark Manipulator! It's the only way to stop Paul! I've been having these dark feelings haunt me for the past couple of days!"

Kenny: "So that's what's been wrong with your mood... No, Barry, this isn't the way!"

Barry: "I have to! How else can I beat him?!"

Kenny: "You'll do it the right way! You're not a mean person, you can beat Paul on your own, not with the help of a demon!"

Barry: "I need power, Kenny!"

Kenny: "SHUT UP! What would Zoey think of this?! You're gonna stop going down this wrong path and you're gonna keep training, become an Electric Manipulator, and fight for justice! Stop this and stop it now, I mean it! I don't wanna hear any more about this darkness! You never give up, so prove that stuff!"

Barry: "...... Fine. You're right. I'll do this the right way... Sorry, Kenny."

Kenny: "No problem! If you ever become mean again, I'll have to make you pay a fine!"

Barry: *laughs* "Hey, you're a thief! So anyway, what do we do now?"

Kenny: "We go to bed, but one thing's for sure... We do NOT tell Alain or the others about tonight... We don't need to worry them."

Barry: "Agreed."

Next morning. Saturday, August 11th as the Mokusetsu is leaving the hotel. 10:04am.

Alain: "Next stop, Eterna City. Be ready, it's a mysterious city at times."

Barry: *determined look* "Alain."

Alain: "For the last time, I'm not paying a fine, so just get--"

Barry: "It's not about that. Listen to me now. I'm tired of waiting. I want to become an Electric Manipulator. In Eterna City."

Alain: "I was saving that for the end of Sinnoh, because it takes an extreme amount of concentration to do this. You're a little too immature for now to try to--"
