CHAPTER - 4

Once he got Day's permission. Brick hurried to take a shower and get dressed. Nick also went home and did the same. When the two friends finished, they leave the house with Nick driving "Are you sure you won't go with me?" Brick asked Day again when Day and Neil got out of the car. "Hmm," Day replied, but he seemed to be gritting his teeth. "You won't get mad if I go with this idiot?" Brick asked again. "I won't be mad. Go out and eat something too," Day said in a normal tone and Brick nodded. "After the movie, I'll call you," Brick told his lover before getting in the car with Nick, Day then closed the car door. "Why did you let Brick go to the movie with my wife?" Nell asked curiously as he went to sit with Day inside the house. Even Nell was surprised. "Honestly, I don't want to let him too far out of sight," Day said bluntly. There was still a slight worry in his eyes. "I want him to relax a hit. When I couldn't remember anything, he was looking out for me and had to put up with all my moods. So I want him to rest without me supervising. And one more thing..." Day finally said then was silent for a while. Neil sat and listened intently. "I want him to do things on his own? If one day I'm not here to take care of him, he'll be able to live on his own," Day said in a low tone at the end. "What's wrong with you? Your husband let you go out, and you act like he's carrying the whole world," Nick asked when he saw Brick sitting with a frown since he left. "I was wondering." Brick replied "About what?" Nick asked "I wonder why Day is so kind? He's not usually like that," Brick told his friend in disbelief. "And this is not good?" Nick asked "It's good but it's weird. I wish I could go see a movie at the cinema sometimes I can't help myself. I can't remember when was the last time I went to see a movie," Brick said and turned to his friend smiling but in his heart, he still felt strangely uncomfortable. When they arrived at the mall, Brick and Nick got to the cinema to buy tickets. They walked around because they had to wait 30 minutes, and then they went to the bathroom, then bought water and snacks. Waiting ar the entrance seat, Brick picked up the phone and called Day "What's up?") Brick greeted his friend from college, who was in the same class but a different group. They were very close because they used to hang out and drink together a lot. After graduation. they didn't see each other often. "I saw you two, but I wasn't sure so I came to see," Ket walked alongside Brick and Nick. "Where have you been? Nick asked "I was down south. I went to help my brother, but I'm on vacation now so 1 come to visit my parents," Ket replied smiling "My group of friends split out for work so we don't see each other very often. Does Gear and Four are still around?" Ket asked because he hasn't seen his friends in a long time. "We meet often and they are the same," Brick replied. "So where are you two going in such a hurry? Come eat with me, I'm here alone," said Ket. Nick glanced slightly at Brick "I'm not free today. My boyfriend is waiting for me home to eat." replied Brick because he wanted to go home and eat with Day "Is your boyfriend the same person who came over on graduation day?" Ket asked suspiciously because when people heard that Brick was dating a man, they were quite surprised because every time they saw Brick, he was always with girls. "Yeah... it's the same person, who else? And he's a very jealous person." Nick teased laughing. "Then why did he let you two go together?" Ket asked without thinking. just teasing his friend back, but it made Brick freeze. "Oh, it's time to have some privacy." said Nick smiling. "Well, tell me your number so we can keep in touch, just in case will meet later," Brick said, not knowing when he would meet up with his friend again. Ket swapped Brick and Nick's numbers. "Well, see you guys later. You two can go home to your boyfriends. A single person like me will have to eat alone," Ket said jokingly pretending to be sad. This made Brick and Nick snicker When they finished talking, they went on their separate ways. Brick then picked up the phone and called Day "It's the movie over?") Day's voice rang out.
