CHAPTER - 14

"Hey Brick, do you want to change

your mind and find Gett a husband?"

Nan pretended to ask. Brick pursed

his lips in anger at his former friend,

who approached him with ulterior

motives. Brick didn't say anything, but

he returned to the house in a clouded

mood.

"You're going to keep playing in the

water? If you're going to play, go now.

If you're not going to play, get ready

to go back," Day said before following

Brick into the house.

Brick walked into the bedroom to take

a shower and change clothes, Day

waited for his lover to take a shower

first. When Brick came out of the

bathroom, he saw that Day had already

packed his bags and was sitting on the

end of the bed.

"Sit here first." Day slammed his hands

on the mattress beside him. Brick, with

only a towel wrapped around his waist,

walked over and sat down in a tense

manner.

"What?" Brick asked. Once sitting next

to Day.

"Do you want me to deal with this? Or

do you want to do something about it.

just let me know? Day asked because

he wanted his lover to decide. Brick

sighed heavily.

"I don't know... to be honest, the whole

time I saw him as a good friend, 1

tried to help him about his feelings, I

pulled away because I was afraid you

wouldn't like it, I didn't want anyone

to misunderstand, I tried to be a good

friend, but he looked for a chance to

stah me in the back" Brick vented

"It's just a thought, but it can't be done

No need to worry," Day said back in a

calm voice,

"Honestly, the question of wanting to

be his wife or wanting you to be his

wife. I didn't think anything about it

because I'm confident the only thing I

was upset about was him cheating on

me" Brick explained, Day raised a hand

to gently pat his lover's head, Brick

rested his head on

his lover's shoulder. he lost a lot of

feelings, anger and felt lost.

"Don't take it seriously, let it go, if it
