"I bet you five pounds you'll burn them" miyeon said as she approached the stove

shuhua took a look at the pan and yes, she was right

she immediately moved the pan off the heat with a grimace, looking at the burgers she was trying to prepare

"shit"

miyeon tilted her head to the side, peering at the burned flesh

"so, what's on your mind?"

"I'm just worried about... some things, you know?"

miyeon smiled sadly and then pointed to her phone

"should we order something?"

shuhua smiled

"I think it's the best choice"

she pulled her phone out of her pocket, feeling a pang of anxiety as she realized the screen still showed no notifications

miyeon grabbed her arm after turning off the stove and gently dragged her into the living room

they ended up ordering chinese, chatting quietly while watching a movie on tv

shuhua tried to stay away from rice, knowing it wasn't recommended for her diet, but it looked so tasty and she had too many things on her mind besides the diet she had been on for two months

she tried not to think about it and concentrate on the movie, but those nagging thoughts tormented her

she wasn't even sure she'd make it to the next week alive at this rate

"since mom and dad are never here and I'm sure I can learn a lot more with you, I know you're busy with football and school, but maybe could you?"

shuhua felt her heart clench a little
"of course I will teach you"

after an hour of training she entered the locker room
