HOW CAN YOU BE SO HAPPY?
DON'T YOU FEEL GUILTY?!
HE DIED.
HE'S DEAD.
AND YOU STILL DARE TO LAUGH?
IT'S YOUR FAULT FOR NOT NOTICING ANYTHING.
YOU NEVER CARED.
YOU NEVER CARE.
AND YOU WILL NEVER CARE.
YOU DON'T DESERVE ANY LOVE—NO, YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE TO LIVE.
YOU SHOULD JUST DIE.
NO ONE WILL BE SAD.
Echoing voices were screaming at the blue haired boy. They were so loud that Toya's head couldn't stop hurting. "Please stop," he wanted to say but his voice was too weak.
The boy laid on an endless meadow. The sun was covered with grey clouds and it drizzled on Toya's face. But he didn't care at all. "They are right. If I had noticed, then maybe...maybe nothing of that happened. I really don't deserve anything..."
"So you really listen to them?" A voice suddenly spoke to him.
Toya looked on his right to see a ginger haired boy with olive eyes lying right beside him. The moment the blue haired looked into those mysterious eyes, the rain stopped and the sun came out, shining brightly on the two boys. It was just them. Alone on an endless meadow.
"It wasn't your fault and it will never be. Don't feel so guilty. What happened, happened. You can't do anything against it and nor can I. We just have to live in the present...and drain our past." Akito smiled and gently grabbed Toya's hand that was lying next to his own hand.
Their fingers intertwined with each other and Toya could feel the calming warmth from the ginger haired boy's hand.
"...What are you doing...?" the blue haired asked confused.
Akito shook his head. "Wake up..." he whispered.
"Huh?"
"Wake up, Toya."
"Toya! Hey??"
Toya woke up to a ginger haired boy shaking him gently. "...What?" the blue haired asked sleepily while rubbing his eyes.
"Ah, you're finally awake. I tried waking you up so many times but you kept sleeping." Akito was sitting beside Toya on the bed and smiled at him.
"...Wait, so that just now was a dream?"
"Hm, what do you mean?"
Toya thought about the dream he had. Just the thought of holding Akito's hand made him blush. "I-It's nothing, haha." The blue haired looked around. "...Uh, wait...where am I?"
The ginger haired giggled in response. "You're in my house. Yesterday a bit after the firework you fell asleep and I didn't want to wake you up so I brought you here."
"Oh, alright. Thanks."
"No need to thank me, dude." Akito carefully stroked Toya's hair which made Toya look away in embarrassment.
"Akito, Misa wants to-" A girl with short brown hair entered Akito's room but stopped talking when she saw the two boys. Akito's hand was still on Toya's head.
"Ah, Ena. What do you want? And have you ever heard of knocking at the door before entering a room?" Toya noticed how Akito's voice changed from calm and soft to annoyed and harsh. His expression also changed. The blue haired had never seen Akito like this.
"Tch, I don't care." The girl took a quick glance at Toya with a rather annoyed expression. "...Misa is in front of the door and wants to talk to you about something."
"Uh-huh, tell her that I don't have time."
"Go, now."
Akito sighed and looked at Toya. "...Wait here, okay? It won't take long."
The blue haired nodded in response and watched the boy leave the room.
