kind of a prologue kind of an exerpt

"I swear to god, Luke. Are you even listening to me?" Faye yelled at the pretty blonde boy situated across from her. His eyes were fixated on her cleavage and she was absolutely furious that he couldn't pay attention to anything else, especially her talking about whatever she was all worked up about.

Michael shot her a glare for yelling which made her roll her eyes. She had never met someone who didn't like fighting, growing up in a gang neighborhood and all. Michael was a rare breed, that was for sure. She had never seen him angry, she hadn't even seen him raise his voice in the slightest way. He didn't like it when anyone else got angry, especially when she did. Michael wasn't like her, and that's probably the only reason they got along.

Ashton didn't respond to Faye yelling at Luke for his behavior. Ashton didn't respond to anything at all really. He was always consumed in his own thoughts, obsessed with trying to be as normal as possible. He wanted to be normal so he wouldn't be judged, so nobody could have a reason to judge him. He wanted nothing more than to be normal (he wouldn't admit that to anyone of course) because then nobody would have their opinions about him. It would make his life a whole lot easier. That's why he liked Faye so much, she never stated her opinions about him, and he was more grateful for that than he was for anything else.

Calum flinched at Faye's yelling, he flinched no matter what she did. She was pretty, and pretty girls had always made Calum uncomfortable. None of the other three boys currently in the room with him found it nerve racking to be around her. He saw how they were all relaxed, and they saw how he wasn't. They all just figured he had bad anxiety, that was "normal". The only thing that wasn't normal was that if Faye hadn't been there Calum would be having a good time. They didn't know that though, because none of them, besides Luke, had been around Calum when she wasn't there. Faye had always thought Calum was cool, and Calum thought Faye was beautiful: there was a mutual understanding between them. They were simply friends without it ever being stated.

Luke wasn't paying attention to anything Faye was saying. He never really did because the only thing he could ever seem to think about was how confident she was. How she could walk around in barely any clothes in front of practically everyone without being embarrassed. He could never do that. He could barely even change his shirt in front of the mirror. He was self conscious to point that it stopped him from doing just about everything. He didn't like being that way, but he felt he could do nothing about it. Faye and Luke were the closest out of the five of them because, despite his constant obnoxious stares and drooling over her confidence, Faye had managed to be able to get Luke to talk about anything, just as he had done to her.

This was the problem with the four boys: their fears consumed their thoughts. Faye didn't have that problem, she just put her biggest fear in the back of her mind and went on with her life until a situation brought it up.

And that's the reason that those four boys were so infatuated with her: they wanted nothing more than to be able to put their fears in the back of their minds and live their lives. That was all they wanted.

a/n: so this really isn't a prologue it's more of an expert, but it just kind of explains how they feel about their fears some more and how close they are (or will be) to Faye in the story. I'm not exactly sure if this is going to be a specific fanfic for one of the boys, but for now it's simply a 5sos au.

Important details for upcoming chapters:

1. THIS "PROLOGUE" IS AT SOME POINT AFTER THEY ALL HAVE MET EACH OTHER. THE NEXT CHAPTERS WILL TAKE PLACE BEFORE THIS ONE. BEFORE.

2. IN THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS FAYE WILL NOT HAVE FORMALLY MET ANY OF THE BOYS YET.

3. THIS CHAPTER WILL MOST LIKELY SHOW UP AT SOME POINT LATER IN THE STORY.

4. AND JUST SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION: THIS IS LATER IN THE STORY AKA NOT THE BEGINNING.

sorry if that was annoying but I know some people still won't understand what I'm trying to say.
