Gaara's P.O.v
This girl isn't scared of me. She actually smiled at me and she's holding my hand. I can feel her pulse. It isn't irregular or fast. So she's not putting up a front just to get to me.
As we walked into the gates, i glared at he guard. They flinched and let us pass. Neither of us spoke as we made our way to my house.
There was just a block left to my house when Crystal started slowing down and stumbling.
" What's wrong? "
Crystal: " I... i think those weapons...were dipped in poison."
Her hand slipped out of mine and she collapsed on the ground. Her breathing became ragged.
Crystal: " I'm sorry...Gaara."
Her eyes closed as mine widened.
I looked at her for only a minute before i made up my mind. I would help this girl. There was something different about her and i want to find out what.
By using my sand, i gently picked her up and ran the rest of the way to my house. I slammed open the door and ran to my room. I went right past Temari and Kuncuro in the living room, living them scared and confused.
After laying her down, i ran back to the living room.
" Temari! I need....." I paused, i've never asked for help before. " your help."
Both of my siblings jaws dropped, but Temari recovered herself pretty quickly. Kuncuro not so much. I nodded towards my sister and led her to my room. She gasped when she was Crystal laying on my bed with blood stained clothes.
" Help her. "
That was all i said. Temari rushed over to Crystal's side and started checking for wounds.
Temari: " Um..Gaara. This girl had no wounds. Why is she covered in blood? "
I walked over to see for myself. Her clothes were drenched in blood, where the shiriken had hit her, but there wasn't a single open wound on her.
" She came out of the woods, tried to get me to run away. A man came out and attacked. Crystal stood in front of me and took the shiriken on purpose. I killed the man, we walked back here, she passed out saying something about the weapons being poisoned. "
Temari blinked once, then twice.
Temari: " Well, i can't sense any poison in her. I think she just passed out from blood loss. She should be fine after some rest. "
I nodded to her, she nodded back and left the room. I just sat in the bed and watched over Crystal. Since i can't sleep anyway, i might as well try to figure this girl out.
