*EL'S P.O.V*

" Hey Brandon.. I'll take the job! "

It was the first day of summer, the deadline in which I had to call, so I decided I'd take the job. I mean, it's what I've always wanted to do and my friends backed me up on it. I was pretty nervous and it felt almost unreal. I was going to be famous!

" Sweet! I'll see you this Friday, " and with a click, he was gone.

In three days, I'd be on a plance back to California.. except this time, it was for good. Ironically, my 18th birthday was this Saturday. I was really excited at the fact that I would offically be an adult this weekend. As I laid in bed, I let my mind wander. So many thoughts!

I'm going to be famous.

I'm going to be 18.

I'm going to see the boys.

I'm hungry.

I laughed to myself at that last though popped into my mind. Turning onto my side, I closed my eyes and pictured how everything would go. About a gazillion senarios ran through my mind as I felt my eyelids slowly grow heavier and heavier. Soon enough, I'm fast asleep.

Gasping for breath, I quickly sit up in bed and look over at my alarm clock.

2:17 am.

With my hand clasped on my chest, I try to slow my breathing back to normal. I feel my cheeks become wet as I raise my trembling hand to swipe away the tears now escaping my eyes. I bite my lip to keep the sobs from coming out of my mouth. Not realizing how hard I was biting, I soon taste blood. I didn't even care.. I was terrified.

While I was asleep, I dreamt that I was touring and Harry was my boyfriend. Everyday, the number of hate mail coming to me was increasing. Not only that, but fans of One Direction started sending hate to Harry as well. We were getting death threats and it was slowly tearing us apart. I could see how it was affecting him and the band, so I did what I had to do and I broke up with him. Although the hate for him stopped, I continued to get it. I was sitting on the floor going through letters when I read one that really stood out to me. It read:

" My dad has a gun and he taught me how to use it. You better watch your back. "

I through it to the side along with the others and continued on through the mail. The next night, I was walking down the street and saw a girl sitting on the sidewalk, crying. I quickly go over to ask if everything is alright, and she said that her mom was hurt in the alley but she was too scared to go by herself. Taking her hand, she leads me into the dark alley. Before I know it I hear a click. I slowly turn my head and she's holding a gun to my head. Pleading for my life, I kneel down and ask her to take the gun away. Someone must've heard my cries because a shadow appeared ahead.

" El! " a familiar British accent yelled. The girl turns around and I catch a glimpse of Harry before he falls to the floor, holding his now bloody chest.

" You're next.. " the stranger smirks.

The last thing I heard was a shot before I was suddenly awoken. It was so life like, so horrifying..

" It was a sign. "

Quickly stumbling out of bed, tears still streaming down my face, I find my phone and punch in the code to unlock it. It takes me a couple tries since my sight was blurred, but I finally got it open and pressed Harry's contact. Putting the phone to my ear, I bite my lip, trying to muffle the sobs that want to escape my mouth.

" Hello? " I hear his raspy voice through the speaker.

The sound of his voice made me sob even harder. I squeezed my eyes shut and put my hand over my mouth to try and quiet the sounds that were escaping.
