I set my bags down on one of the beds and turned to Summer. "Hey." I said.
"Hi." she said.
"So, how's it going?" I asked.
"I don't know. I don't really care." she said.
Okay, I guess there was gonna be some tension here. "Right."
"So, you and Joe, huh?" she asked.
"We've just been hanging out. It's nothing official yet."
"Oh." she said.
She sounded jealous.
I grabbed my phone and purse and walked out of the room. I wanted to go see Trinity since we hadn't talked since before TLC.
When I got to her room I knocked on the door. Jimmy answered. "Hey chica." he said.
"Hey Jimmy. Is Trin here?" I asked.
"Yeah. Come on in."
I walked in and Trinity was sitting on her bed playing a game on her phone. She looked up and smiled at me. "Katie. Hey. How's it going?"
"It's good. I just wanted to come see you. Maybe we can go shopping?"
"Sure. Do you mind babe?" she asked Jimmy.
"Not at all. I'm just gonna go work out with Josh anyway. You go ahead and have fun." he said. They kissed and then we walked out of he her hotel room. It was gonna be fun to have some girl time with her. We hadn't done it in a long time.
When we got to the mall we walked around talking and having fun. I walked into Victoria's Secret with her following behind me.
"So are you gonna get something sexy for Joe?" she asked. I looked at her. "I heard about your date with him. I'm happy for you. Especially since it's Joe you're dating. You deserve someone like him."
"Thanks. And no I'm not getting something for Joe. I'm getting something for me. Joe and I haven't gotten there yet. He hasn't even asked me to be his girlfriend yet." I said.
"Really? Wow. He must really like you then. Normally he moves pretty fast with girls. You should feel special."
"Yeah. I just feel like it's too slow. You know? I mean, I've never dated like this before. It feels amazing but at the same time I just wanna be his girlfriend already." I told her.
"Yeah. Most girls do. Joe's a catch. Not only does he have the looks but he also has the respect and the loyalty."
"He shows it. He really is sweet." I said.
We continued shopping and bought some things from Victoria's Secret, some stuff from Forever 21, JC Penny and Aeropostal. Trinity walked into Spencers and I followed her.
"What are we doing in here?" I asked.
"I just wanna look at some things." she said.
We stopped and looked at a couple vibrators. "Damn. I could definitely use one of these. I'm gonna get one." I said. Before you all ask, no I'm not a virgin. I lost that a long time ago to a guy that I thought I could trust. We dated for a few years but it didn't work out. Actually I caught him cheating on me with one of my ex best friends.
I grabbed the vibrator and a few more and paid for them. Trinity laughed the whole time.
When we left the store she was still laughing.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Girl, you need to get laid." she said.
"I'm good with my vibrators for now."
"They don't replace the real thing."
"Yeah." I said.
We got back to the hotel and went up to my room. Joe was walking toward us so I hid the Spencers bags behind me.
"Hey." he said.
"Hi." I said kind of awkwardly.
Trinity just laughed.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"Nothing." I said trying not to laugh.
"Okay well, do you want some help with those bags?"
"NO!" I yelled out.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"I'm fine. I just have a few women products in some of these bags. I don't want you to see them." I said opening my door and walking in. Trinity and Joe walked in with me.
"It's nothing I haven't seen before. I have sisters, a mother and I've had girlfriends. I also have a daughter that I'm sure I'm gonna have to buy these things for." he said.
Trinity and I busted out laughing. "I'm gonna go. See ya." Trinity said. She left leaving Joe and I by ourselves.
"So what's in the bag?" he asked.
"You really don't wanna know." I said.
"Maybe I do." he said.
"No you don't."
He grabbed the bag and dumped it out on the bed before I could get to it. The three vibrators fell out on the bed and Joe just stared at them.
"I told you you didn't wanna know." I said. I bit my lip nervously.
"You are planning on taking care of yourself. That's not exactly something you have to hide from me. But what am I?" he asked.
"I am not gonna ask you to have sex with me. We just started going out and I'm not even your girlfriend yet. I'm not gonna have sex with you just for it to be sex. Besides, I like the speed we're going. Sex just wouldn't feel right between us right now." I said.
"Yeah. I understand that. But what's with all of this?" he asked.
"A girl still has needs."
"I guess I should have expected that answer."
"Listen, I bought them because I'm not gonna do what I've always done. Before you I always just hooked up with all of the same people just to have sex but stay out of a relationship. I don't wanna do that with you or behind you. At least this way, I know I can please myself." I said.
"Well at least you're thinking of me. Jeez that sounded wrong. This is awkward." he said.
"You should have just left it alone dude." I said.
"Yeah. I should have. I'm gonna go." he said.
"Well, let's hang out later. Maybe you can make it so fun I think of you while I'm doing this to myself." I chuckled.
"That's not funny." he said.
"It's a little funny." I said.
"Okay. I guess it is. Okay. My room. Seven." he said.
"I'll be there." I told him.
He walked out leaving me with myself and my vibrators.
