Last time on Dragon Ball Xenoverse Z, after being confronted by Vegeta, Shayfeliere and Yang teamed together to take on the Grimmified Zarbon. With the battle over, Vegeta takes the Dragon Ball from Krillin's hands and flies off.

Gohan, Yamota, and Koneko were now heading back to where Bulma was with a Dragon Ball they recovered from the decimated village.
Yamota: 'Hm... I don't feel Zarbon's energy no more. He must've been killed by Vegeta... I sure hope Shay and Yang are okay. It would be horrible if something happened...'
Suddenly, Gohan stops as did the three, sensing the incoming energy.
Gohan: Whoa... Something's coming right toward us. And... it's powerful.... *eyes widened* No! Vegeta!
Gohan begins to descend down along with Yamota and Koneko. They all begin to duck under cover as Vegeta stopped midair to look around.
Vegeta: 'Those energy signatures... they just disappeared...'
Gohan: 'Come on... Just keep flying and go away.'
Vegeta: Wherever you're hiding, come out now! It's no use trying to pull one over on me. Step out from whatever cowering rock you're behind or I'll reduce this whole area to rubble.
Yamota: *whispers*... Not good. He's got us.
Koneko: Looks like we'll have to face him.
Yamota: No... I'll do it.
Gohan: What? No=
Yamota: I'll distract him while you two use the lake to hide.
Koneko: ...
Yamota: What is it?
Koneko: I... I can't swim.
Yamota: *sweat drops*... 'Crapbaskets.' Okay, uh... Gohan, you think she can hold onto you?
Gohan: Yeah.
Yamota: Okay... Koneko, just don't let go of Gohan.
She nods as they begin to hear Vegeta shout.
Vegeta: This is it! You're last chance!... And I'll fire!
Vegeta begins to charge up an energy wave from his hands as he was about to fire, but Yamota comes out of hiding and fires his own Ki wave to stop him from firing. Vegeta dodges with ease as he looks down to see Yamota.
Vegeta: 'It is him... That mysterious Saiyan.' So... it would my questions are answered. Seeing as I ran into your friends from before, I assume you all are here because of those dark creatures.
Yamota: That Dragon Ball... You better not have hurt Shay and Yang!
Vegeta: Please, I wasn't interested in those weaklings anyway. As for this, they gave me this as a token of friendship.
He begins to descend down to meet Yamota face to face. This gives Gohan and Koneko the opportunity to move carefully and quietly into the water and swim away. Vegeta looks around then back at Yamota.
