I spend my shift thinking about Dean. All I want to do was go back in time and stop him from walking out the door. To run up and kiss him. To tell him I am his and I want him to be mine more than anything.

Jess notices my mood the second she sees me and I tell her everything. She agrees with Dean. Encourages me to set my boundaries but to also clearly communicate them to Dean. And I agree too. I don't know why I couldn't have told this to him.

To take my mind off of my regret I ask Jess about Nathan. She tells me she got his number and they sent flirty texts all weekend but didn't meet up. They still occasionally text each other but she doesn't think it's anything.

"How could it be when he lives so far away" she explains, "he has no interest in moving and neither do I so....." she shrugs her shoulders and sighs.

"Why do you think you guys didn't meet up again when he was here?" I ask

"I don't know, he was visiting Dean and said they haven't seen each other for so long so I didn't want to interrupt that time, you know?"

"Yeah.... maybe he'll visit again soon and you can spend time with him then?" I try

"Maybe" she shrugs it off and heads to the kitchen to collect an order.

                                                       *******************************************

When my shift is over I change and decide to head to the station. I take a sandwich and a coffee with me for Dean, unsure if he has had any lunch yet. My stomach is in knots as I climb into my truck but I am determined to set this right.

The drive to the station takes five minutes, I could've just walked but I didn't want the truck to sit too long, it needed to be driven.

I take a deep breath and head inside with Dean's lunch in my hands.

As soon as I am in Georgia's big smile greets me but I can't look at her, Dean is at Ben's desk, leaning over and looking at something on his computer screen. He looks deep in thought.

Two other men sit at their desks, concentrating on their own work.

"Hey Annie, it's great to see you" Georgia practically shrieks making Dean's eyes snap up to meet mine. My heart races, I put the bag and coffee cup on Georgia's desk.

"Just.... one minute....." I say quietly, briefly looking at Georgia before focusing on Dean. He stands straight and rests his hand on his belt. Ben talks until he realises he doesn't have Dean's attention anymore, he looks at Dean, then me, then Georgia.

The office seems to go silent, my stomach is doing flips and my heart feels like it is going to beat out of my chest. It's now or never, I think to myself and slowly walk through the gate, pass the desks and the officers at them, all of their eyes on me. My eyes never leave Dean's. He doesn't move but tilts his head and raises his eyebrows in a silent question.

Once I am in front of him I slowly move my hand to the back of his neck and pull his lips to mine. His mouth opens instantly allowing me to kiss him. He let's me take the lead and the kiss is soft and gentle. One arm wraps around me and the other hand cups my cheek.

The whole office erupts it cheers and whistles. We pull apart and I can feel my face heat up. Dean smiles and looks around his station.

"Ok, Ok settle down boys" he still has the biggest smile. My hands cover my face. I can't believe I just did that!

Dean wraps one arm around my shoulder and I bury my face into his chest, I can't help but giggle.

The officers slowly settle down and Dean guides me to his office, releasing me and closing the door behind him.
