Kiyan returned later with a glass of water for her and sat down beside the bed. He noticed that she was hugging one of his pillows. "Are you feeling cold, Fay? Why are you hugging that pillow so tightly?" He blinked and innocently wondered why as he handed her the glass. "I could ask my maid to let you wear a warmer dress if you wish." He offered kindly.
Fay widened her eyes with shock when she heard his voice. She slowly sits up properly as if she were kneeling on the bed, facing him but her head is hanging low "u...hm....a.actually...i..its..y.yeah, I think I am feeling a little cold.. but your pillow helps me a lot so thanks!" Fay smiles so wide that she can cover it up from her embarrassment
Kiyan just tilted his head at that. "Well, I got your water. Here you should drink up, I mean you still took a while to get here after all." He reasoned.
Despite her always feeling shy and embarrassed, Kiyan had to admit that it made her look cute. He smiled to himself, knowing that no other woman in the kingdom could ever compare to her. Even though she's a human who lives in the forest, he is determined to learn more about her, sensing that he's starting to have feelings for her.
Fay take the glass and she slowly drink it until she finish it so fast. She must have been feeling so thirsty from the flying. She smiles looking at the prince and she gives him the empty glass "Thank you, Your Highness...I feel much better now..." Fay fixes her hair a little when it's falling to her shoulder "Your Highness...I think maybe you should go and..you know...do your work...I'll just stay here..and maybe wait until you have time for me"
Kiyan chuckled a bit as he placed the empty glass on the table. "There is no need to worry about that. My schedule is pretty open today. I'll let you rest for a bit before I show you the sights, alright?" He held her hand again. "I don't want to leave a beautiful lady all alone in a big castle like this." He smiled.
Fay looks into his eyes with a smile. Her cheeks are turning crimson red which is obvious. "You don't have to be such a sweet talker my prince...but thank you ..for your hospitality...maybe we should talk...about you...how come you become part of the elf family?"
Kiyan chuckled as he noticed how she blushed. He thought for a bit as he answered her. "My mother is the royal, the elf queen so to speak." He told her. "My father was the human she fell in love with. He passed away already sadly." He revealed in a sad tone. "But we remember his legacy, and he was the one who taught me swordplay too."
Fay was feeling very sympathy once he opened up the story about his dead parents. She would have understood completely because she hadn't even met her parents who abandoned her since she was a baby. Her own parents abandoned her in the forest and let her die alone until she got reincarnated again. Fay smiled with gently as she held his hand "Hey..it's OK...I'm here for you...I would have understood completely of your feelings..we wish they would stay longer...but no...it's their fate that they have to die...we need to accept that..right?"
Kiyan nodded and gently held her hand back. "We will always remember our father and my mother never remarried. I can let you meet her when she isn't busy at least." He assured her. "She'll be interested to know that the magical beasts of the forest blessed a human."
Fay smiles with unexplained feelings of joy. She slowly nod her head as she pat his hand gently "I would love to meet her someday...but I'm scared thou..what if she doesn't like me...I.I mean! W..what if she didn't know if I was just a human? I'm sorry I'm asking too many questions" Fay holds her cheek feeling so red and burning right now. She has completely lost her mind to think whenever she is with the prince "I...I'm sorry I must have messed up my mind.."
Kiyan could only smile at her shyness, feeling himself drawn more and more to her and her innocence. "She's a kind queen, so I'm sure she'll accept you as one of our own. She doesn't look down on humans either, or any other race for that matter. She may be a high elf, but she set aside her people's pride to form peace between the races that live in our kingdom." He told her. "One day, when I become king, I hope to continue her legacy as well."
