The Unknown Princess

When Elena was exiting the room, someone was standing outside and it was Elizabeth. She looks just fine in her maid outfit. She smiled feeling so happy when she saw the princess was safe "Your Majesty! I'm so glad you are ok! I thought the elf would have done something bad to you. I'm so sorry I left you...I didn't have a choice when they kept me there... Please forgive me, your majesty"

Elena visibly brightened up and looked up when she saw her maid there alive and okay. "Elizabeth! You're alright! I was so so so worried about you!" She rushed over to hug her maid as a few tears streamed down her face. "You're okay! I'm sorry that this happened to you...I got careless and I didn't see it coming. And you got caught up in my mess..I'm really sorry Elizabeth." She sniffed.

Elizabeth was startled because she didn't know how to react. The princess is hugging her and making her so guilty for making her cry "Oh I'm sorry my princess..it's my fault that I didn't check the surroundings first...it's ok I'm fine now...there we go" Elizabeth smiles feeling rather genuine to Elena. She pats the princess on the back helping her to calm down "I think it's time for dinner.."

"Well said then, I believe you are okay so that makes me glad Elizabeth..come then my children" Queen Rosetta walked out from the room smiling and she waited for her children to come with her so they could walk together to the dining hall.

Elena sniffed and smiled happily while holding her maid's hand and hurrying her along. "Come on come on! Dinner time!"

"Her mood turned around real quick." Kiyan blinked as he walked alongside their mother. "The forest beside us, Mother, do you know about their magical beasts?"

"oh yes..their magical beasts are the ones that take care of the forest...they bless us with the nature that grows under our ground. It is connected to their forest.." Queen Rosetta looks at him smiling as they walk "Why would you ask that? She was raised by the beasts? Then she would be considered as a curse...good curse?"

Kiyan nodded. "It was amazing to see how she could morph into different animals and how the animals in the forest are all nice and unafraid of her." He mentioned. "It was like she's a druid of sorts."

They made it to the dining hall and saw that their plates were already set up and the smell of food from the kitchen indicated that dinner would be served soon. Kiyan continued his story. "They have strong guardians too. The winged elf that fought Elena, looked to be evenly matched, perhaps the elf was even stronger than her. Luckily the fight broke off."

"so she did make trouble huh... Elena is so strong with her passion to fight just like your father..she was his favorite daughter after all before he passed away." Queen Rosetta joins them at the table. She took a sip of the wine before she started eating her dinner "So tell me...what's the problem with this winged elf..what did your sister do?"

Kiyan shrugged as he watched Elena sit down across from them while still talking to her maid and letting her serve her dinner. "I think she said that the winged elf used magic to kidnap Elizabeth and she didn't want to leave until she had her back. But the rest of us didn't want to complicate things so we tried to diffuse the fight and make Elena come home first before we settled the issue. The fight would have ruined the water springs too so I'm glad I intervened."

The queen only glared at her daughter. She understands why would her daughter act up so much when the maid just got kidnapped...so it's understandable for her to get furious.. "don't blame her..it's in her blood.."

Kiyan chuckled. "It's in all our blood. Sometimes..sometimes I think that maybe I should abdicate the throne and let Elena be the one who gets coronated as queen." He said softly as dinner was served to them now. "She's much more passionate, she just needs training to control her temper."

Elizabeth pour the juice into Elena's glass when she needs to refill "I'm so sorry to trouble the prince and the princess..." She apologized with so much sincerity.

Elena pouted as she ate. "It's not your fault. I really was worried about you. I was ready to burn down the whole forest just to find you." She claimed.

Elizabeth chuckles softly and she takes a few steps back to give some space for the royal family to have their dinner. Once they are done, Queen Rosetta stands up from her seat and looks at their children with a smile "Good night my love..make sure to stay safe whenever you go..." She kisses Elena on her head and hugs her close. Then she would do the same thing to Kiyan.

"I will I promise, Mom!" Elena said happily as she was kissed on the head and hugged.

Kiyan hugged his mother as well. "Good night, Mother. May your dreams be peaceful tonight." He said with a smile.

Queen Rosetta nods her head smiling. She waved her hand to both of her kids before she walked out from the dining room with a guard.

Bartos walked over to them and bowed his head with a smile "Looks like both of you got letters, someone sent it through the door no one see who sent it" Bartos took the letters from his pocket and handed them over to Elena and Kiyan, since there were two letters.

Elena glared at the letter before grabbing it. "What the hell is this? Can't you see it's dessert time?" She looked at the letter all over but couldn't find any initial information. Even the seal did not look familiar.

Kiyan curiously looked at his as he opened it and took it out. "Did you see who sent this, Bartos?" He asked.

"Weird," Elena said as she took out hers as well to read it.

"I'm not sure Your Highness but I think it may come from the neighborhood kingdom. It has a tree seals so it could only mean..forest kingdom?" Bartos didn't want to make sure of it but he let the siblings read the letter for

Elena's letter, she got from her future husband her fiance "Dear Princess Elena. I know your birthday is coming very soon and I wish to be the first person to wish you a sweet sixteen of your birthday. Fear not and please be patient as we will meet each other during the social season. From your truthfully future husband..." There is a signature of J letter at the end of the notes

For Kiyan, the letter was from Fay herself and she said "I hope you are reading my letter by now. I just want to tell you how I missed you so much and I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. I love to see the world with you so please sleep well tonight and don't worry about me. I'll be fine..love Fay"

Kiyan smiled genuinely as he finished reading the letter. "Fay.." He whispered to himself. "Well, I know what I'm looking forward to, tomorrow. What did yours say?"

Elena was grinning happily and squealed a bit. "It was from my future husband! I'm going to meet him in the social season after my birthday!" She exclaimed. "I better look my best, and I hope he doesn't have a punchable face."

Kiyan shook his head. "Why do you keep threatening to punch every suitor in the face?" He wondered.

"Because they suck." Elena huffed.

Elizabeth walked closer to Elena with a smile and she bent a little to whisper "I think it's time for you to sleep, but I'll prepare a bath for you first..."

Bartos nods his head smiling "I think it's time for the young prince to go to his room. I'll escort both of you"

Elena nodded in agreement. "A bath sounds nice, yes. We've had a long day today." She finished her dessert and stood up.

Kiyan had finished as well and joined them. "Thank you, Bartos. I trust that everything has been well today. No illegal activities to report?"

"no sire... everything is under control and for now, there are no suspicious actions recorded... hopefully we can keep guarding the forest and maintain the security to the highest stage... Are you sure you alright sir? You looked like you were missing someone..is it the girl?"

Kiyan walked on ahead of them to hide the slight blush on his face. "Perhaps..but I am glad that this will be a quiet night." He chuckled.

Elena rolled her eyes as she walked alongside her maid. "Imagine being this lovestruck. I've got other plans tomorrow." She giggled deviously.

Both Elizabeth and Bartos only smile at what their royal siblings have to say "Well...I think not everyone had the chance to fall in love...once you feel it..you should embrace it..." Elizabeth stated her opinion but her eyes were glaring at Bartos. It makes the soldier scoff in denial.
