Elena gasped silently and grabbed at his wrist before staring deep into his golden eyes. "Wait..why does that look familiar to me?" She thought silently to herself for a bit before raising her flexible leg and bringing it down on his arm to release his hold on her. She breathed out for a moment before smirking. "You're on." She crouched down to sweep at his legs to try and trip him.
Jagon makes a backflip to avoid her legs and he dashes forward again, giving a hard punch to her face "Thunder smash!" Jagon calculated well that his single smash could at least break 2 of her teeth in her mouth
"Gift of the Dwarf King: Crystal Hand!" A dwarven rune revealed itself right on the back of Elena's left palm, activating and coating her whole left hand as if it was made of hardened crystals that glowed a faint light blue. She collided with Jagon's punch and caught it, the sound resonating throughout the kitchen and making most of the hanging pots and utensils make noise and clank against each other. "Is that all you got? Maybe I should get serious too." She mocked and pushed his fist down before punching his stomach with the same crystal hand.
"Ugh!" Jagon managed to avoid the second punch and he jumped backward, almost screeching on the floor. He wiped the blood on his lips that was spurt out. He chuckles with a smirk before he fixes his neck making bone bone-cracking sound "I see how you want to play it..." He controls the knives in the kitchen to float and points at the process before he shoots the knife just like how he shot his arrows "You can't run away this time princess!"
Elena used this moment to quickly slide off the turquoise dress that she wore, afraid that it might get damaged in the fight since she loved and respected her mother so much. Underneath all that, she wore a small blouse and a corset as well as some frilly ruffle shorts. She saw Jagon start to control the knives and hurl them at her. "Wasn't planning to!" She repulsed the knives with a short burst of energy as she channeled her wind magic in her closed palm and opened it suddenly. "My mother was right about one thing, I truly am gifted." She laughed before rushing at him and this time she pinned him against the wall before he could control more knives, and she looked up at his face again, really finding his golden eyes quite familiar but she was too caught up in the fight to notice.
Jagon was looking into her eyes when they were now standing close to each other. His golden eyes were just the same as before but now he changed his eyes completely into his normal color. He smirks widely when she finally gets into his trap. It was just a trick to make her fall for him emotionally. He wrapped her waist tight and turned around so it was his turn to pin her against the wall, now that he was breathing heavily from the fighting and staring down into Elena's eyes with such a tempting look "What's wrong ..did my beautiful golden eyes catch your attention? What were you thinking?"
Elena gulped as she was pinned again, letting herself get momentarily distracted. She could feel a small blush coming on her cheeks as she couldn't help but feel attracted to his eyes. "I...I dunno. Shut up!" She tried to defend but her voice faltered a bit. She knew that she had limited options now so she closed her eyes. "Alright just finish me off already!"
Jagon chuckles feeling so satisfied that he won this round "All alright then..I should claim my reward..." He was leaning close like he wanted to kiss her lips, his warm breath touching her lips but he instead, kissed her forehead gently for a while before he let her go "I guess this is a goodbye..real goodbye...I won't be coming for this year's social event because I need to see my fiance...in the neighborhood kingdom...be a good girl and love your husband...don't disappoint him.." that was his last wish and he looked kind of solemn to not seeing her again.
Elena only gasped as she felt his kiss on her forehead, further deepening her blush as she didn't expect that kind of action from him. She stayed stunned there for a bit as he said those words to her. "I...I see." She answered. Though she does need to focus on her arranged marriage, she can't deny what she felt. That her heart beat faster when she was with Jagon and how thrilling it was to spend time with him. But she needed to be strong. "You'll see...I'll be the best queen in the world!" She called out to him. "And we'll fight again!"
Jagon only smiles this time with sincerity and no smirk. He patted her head like a little girl with a nod "Take care of Elurie for me... whenever you miss me..only if you do...you can keep her safe...it's really good to see you, Princess.." Jagon was starting to walk away but he turned around to look at her, a calm face was on his expression right now. He is holding the pain to leave her but he has no choice "I'll seek another fight when we meet again...good day...Princess Elena..." With that he walks away exiting the kitchen, leaving Elena with the white cat alone
Elena panted a bit as she felt a bit tired before reaching out to hold Elurie as the cat went to see how she was doing. "Thanks, Jagon.." She smiled faintly and cuddled the cat so she could relax for a bit after an exhausting fight like that.
Princess Valerie was walking along the hallway, having just finished mingling and was about to go home, when she noticed Jagon about to leave as well. "Oh, if it isn't the pretentious commoner."
Jagon stops walking when he suddenly bumps into Princess Valerie. He sighed softly while shaking his head "Here we go again...what more do you want princess...I thought a princess like you didn't like to talk to a normal man like me?"
Valerie just stared him down before scoffing. "You're not from here. I know all the kinds of elves that live in this kingdom and you..." She pointed her nail guard finger at him. "..you don't belong. A normal commoner wouldn't nearly have the means to travel this far...so who are you?"
Jagon keeps his hands in his pocket pants, he doesn't have the time to talk with someone who doesn't understand basic human beings "Look, princess...I'm not gonna waste your time..and how can you say a commoner like me doesn't belong here? I believe Rosemayer kingdom has every right to keep its people here, neither the rank is different or otherwise...you are the one who is not from here so why don't you just skip it and move"
Valerie only laughed haughtily. "You are correct in saying I'm from another kingdom. But mine is a kingdom of high elves, the most proud and enlightened of all!" She declared proudly. "And once I become queen of Rosemeyer Kingdom, our unity will serve as a foundation to become the greatest lands in this whole continent. And everyone will know just how superior we are. But..I wouldn't expect a mere commoner to understand this." She waggled her finger with a wink.
Jagon raises his eyebrows with curiosity. There was a silent moment before he suddenly laughed so hard while holding his stomach. He was laughing until he took a deep breath to calm down, he sighs smile wiping his tears away "Oh boy...princess you know how to make a joke..a queen of Rosemayer? Seriously..what makes you think you will become queen anyway? I need to know where you buy this confidence. I should get some too"
This made Valerie's eyebrow twitch in annoyance. She couldn't believe that this commoner in front of her just dared to laugh like that. "How dare you? I'll become queen of Rosemeyer after I prove to the beloved Prince Kiyan that I'm the best candidate after the social season!" She declared. "No other noble girl can compare to me. No one is as graceful nor as powerful as I." She claimed while looking at him arrogantly. "You'll do well to show respect to your future queen."
Jagon looked at the princess with his eyes starting to turn gold, he started to get annoyed with this princess he just turned out to play with his nerves "I'm sorry princess but you are no good for me..now if you excuse me...I need to go home and...maybe bake cookies...oh and one more thing...good luck with your prince...I heard he had found someone even far more beautiful than you" he chuckled again to make her mad as he walked away while waving his hand to the princess.
"You dare..mock me?" Valerie just glowered in anger as she watched him leave, and was even more pissed when he mentioned that Kiyan had found someone else. "You lie!" And with that, she stormed off as well, eager to prepare for next week's social season to secure the crown that she believes belongs to her finally.
