Kiyan stood up from the bench as they finished enjoying the gardens of the castle. "You know Fay, we should walk around the city for a bit. Take in the sights." He suggested. "You're going to see a lot of it during the social season anyway."
Fay was excited to hear about that. She stood up as well with a nod and smile at Kiyan "I would love to...maybe we can go and see the place. You promised to show around so I'm your tourist now" she chuckled softly when she teased him
Kiyan blushed a bit but nodded and offered her his arm. "I'd be honored to show you around. I might as well get used to it myself since I'll be a king soon." He chuckled and walked back outside of the castle with her.
Fay was so happy to walk with him. Being with Kiyan always gives her butterflies in her stomach. She keeps his arms close in her hug as they walk together "If it's love...then I want him to know...but I'm not that brave to confess" Somehow she would think of too many bad things that might happen
Kiyan thought more and more about what it would be like to spend more time with Fay as they walked. He glanced down at her and saw how happy she looked as well and he started to imagine life with her by his side, if she was truly willing to become his queen. They left the castle and walked around the city square a bit, watching as a few people saw them together smiled for them, and began whispering among themselves. "Looks like the townspeople are starting to like you," Kiyan said softly to her. "That's a good sign."
Fay didn't even think about that at all it made her nervous because people were staring at them for so long. "Are you sure that's what they talk about? I'm worried if they are gossiping about us...what if they believe we are in a special relationship? B..but...a.are.we..." it got her so embarrassed to think about so she quickly changed the topic and chuckled "d..do you have any restaurant you would like to suggest? I want to try the cuisines here.."
Kiyan thought for a bit. "Our people aren't that cruel. They don't think ill of the royal family that way." He chuckled. "As for where to eat..there is this restaurant down the street where some of our army likes to dine in. But the crowd there might not be for you." He considered. "Oh, I know!" He guided her to a different street where more restaurants could be seen. Some of them even look fancy. "We can get a bit more privacy here, and it's less crowded too."
Fay would agree with him about that. She didn't think that people were so attracted to her and she didn't like that because of her humble personality. She fixed her hair to the back of her ear when the wind blew "I like it here...not because it's fancy but it's quiet and not many people...at least I can feel comfortable eating.." Fay looked at Kiyan with a glad smile "Thank you for helping me out.."
Kiyan smiled warmly at her as they entered and he held the door open for her. "Of course. I don't want you to feel too overwhelmed on your first night here." Inside the restaurant, there were fewer customers compared to the one that Elena and Jagon went to. But the crowd here is more well dressed as some were nobles or rich merchants having business meetings or private celebrations. Kiyan whispered something to the waiter and soon they were guided to the upper floor and seated on a table near the railing where they could see the crowd below them. There was no one else on the upper floor tables but them but they could still hear and see the liveliness coming from downstairs. "Here we are. You can see the other nobles from up here. See what the upper class in our kingdom is like." He explained to her.
Fay smiles nodding her head. She stands by the railing and takes a deep breath "Ha...it's nice here...I never thought the city could have the same environment as the forest... fresh...breeze wind...I do like it here..." Fay joins Kiyan by the table and she takes a sit. She is so excited to know what kind of food they are going to eat. "Your Highness, I want you to recommend something you like to eat. I want to learn about you so might as well learn about your favorite dish..who knows maybe I can make it for you"
