Season 2 Episode 8 Part One

They drove for a little while, then they took a pit stop which gave them the opportunity to do a little inventory.

So now they were all gathered around the hood of the car as they checked their supplies.

"Flashlight. No batteries. Half a bottle of aspirin. Well, I got no ammo. Found this." Doc said placing the stuff on the hood, he then held up a crow bar.

"I got two batteries and four bullets" Warren said

"I got two in my gun. Two randoms in those." Addy said placing them on the hood

"You got gum?" Warren asked

"For repair purposes only." Addy explained

"Remember fresh breath?" Doc said grabbing Addy around the shoulders and Addy recoiled back from Doc due to his breath and Ellie smirked.

"Couple of bullets. Road flares." Vasquez said

"I got one empty clip." 10k said

"You know what? See if these fit." Addy said passing him her spare bullets

"I got a full clip and about half a dozen arrows" Ellie said

"I know this looks shaky, but we will find a way to get Murphy to California." Warren said with determination

"Well, I'm hungry." Doc said going over to Murphy who was sleeping in the back seat. Tapping his feet he tried to get his attention "Murphy. Wake up, man."

"What?" Murphy grumbled lifting his hat of his face

"Help me find some lunch. Nuts, fruit, edible tree bark."

"Edible tree bark, huh?" Murphy said climbing out of the car and they both made their way into the forest

While they were gone Vasquez checked what fuel they had left while 10k checked the map with Addy and Ellie gathered around him. Warren was now sat in the drivers seat.

"Well?" Addy asked him

"Two gallons..... Maybe three."

"If we get 10 miles a gallon..." Warren said as she tried to work it out bht 10k beat her to it.

"It'll get us halfway to Plainview." 10k stated just as Doc turned up behind them but no Murphy

"Hey, where's Murphy?" Warren asked and Doc looked confused

"He's right behind me." Doc said pointing behind but when he turned he also realised Murphy wasnt there. "Damn it, Murphy!"

Grabbing their weapons they all quickly made their way into the forest

"How do you just lose Murphy?" Warren asked him and Doc just shrugged "What do you mean, he was just behind you? Really?"

"I'm gonna be really pissed if my last words are "Murphy, where are you?" Addy complained

"We may as well be saying, "Here we are, zombies. Come and get us" Doc said

"Murphy better hope he's not around when I reach 9,999." 10k threatened him and Ellie knew he was still sour about Cassandra, she was too. But Murphy was still her blood, she didnt think 10k would actually kill him unprovoked. He was just angry but she didn't know what she would do if someone else did try to hurt him.

"Easy, kid. We gotta find him first." Vasquez reminded him

"Well, I think it's somewhere around here." Doc said as they reached an area by the trees "Oh, and don't eat the bark off them skinny trees. Starts out tangy but then goes south in a hurry....Oh, maybe it was over here."
