Warrens Pov

"So the first four barricades are complete." Warren said as they all gathered around a table minus Addy who was trying to get in contact with Citizen Z.

"Anyone else feel like we're trying to plug a hole in the 'Titanic' with toilet paper?" Murphy complained throwing a ball into the air

"Got any better ideas, Murphy? I'd love to hear it." Vasquez said

"Abandoning ship seems like a pretty good idea to me." Murphy said "But then that would involve leaving Ellie behind which I dont intend to"

"To where anyway? We do not have enough gas to get far enough away. And I do not want to get caught out there in the open." Warren said

"These walls are steel-reinforced concrete. We're not gonna leave our home. Not again." Danny said firmly

10k Pov

After finishing their heart to heart, 10k went to explore a little bit. But he didnt wander to far from the medical area or his new friend.

"Hey, kid - I'm telling you, you got to go talk to their ancestors." He heard a voice say and when he turned he saw Doc spinning around in circles towards him. He also sounded high "They're some of the coolest people you'll ever meet."

Going to answer he was interupted by men with guns forcing them over to the side

"What the hell's going on?!" The woman shouted when her brouther stepped infront of her

"You patched them up. Now it's time for them to go. Their presence here

puts us all in danger. I'm not about to let that happen." Gordan said firmly and he followed after his men.

They led Doc and 10k out of the camp and towards a clearing when they came to a stop.

"This is as far as we go. Go back to your people." Gordon said and they were pushed forward

"We're free to go?" 10k asked skeptically as he turned to look back at them.

"Take yes for an answer, kid." Doc said to him as he pulled him back. Backing up Doc suddenly cried out and when 10k turned he saw Doc tangled up in a net.

Rushing towards him 10k found his ankly snagged and he too was pulled up into the air by his ankle and he hung upside down.

"Thanks for volunteering to be our early warning alarm." Gordon said as he walked up to 10k

"This is crazy! Let us go! You'll never see us again!" 10k yelled

"You got that right." Gordon said grabbing the side of 10ks coat to pull him around to face him. "Look. You and I both know what happens if I let you go. You'll find your party and then turn around and come right after me

and my family. Its bad enough you're friend got away"

"No, we wouldn't."

"Yes, you would. And so would I. Besides, if I am wrong, it doesn't really matter, does it? We're all gonna die anyway." Gordan said pushing 10k away. Raising to his feet he left with his men, leaving Doc and 10k alone and vulnerable.

"I've never seen so many stars, man." Doc said in a daze as 10k tried to reach his foot

"What? Doc, it's daytime."

"Wow. This stuff is stronger than I thought."

"What is wrong with you?"

"Not a thing, man. In fact, I'm more at peace now than before the whole world turned fubar."
