A little over 2 months later,
December 19th.
Y/N's POV
"Y/N! Hurry up, we're leaving in 10" I hear my grandma shout from downstairs.
I roll my eyes, still looking for last minute things I may have missed to pack into my bag.
I'm going away for christmas as usual with my grandma, on my "Dad's" side alongside his siblings, my uncle and aunties their partners and kids, my cousins, we're off to Ireland until new year, again, as usual.
My grandad, who passed when I was 10 due to a terminal illness, he was Irish, born and raised in Waterford, Ireland, but he moved to England when he were a teenager then to Wales after meeting my grandma.
My mother is English, her side from Manchester and my dad's side, Welsh and Irish. His parents are still here though thankfully, my great-grandparents, they live in Kilnamanagh, a suburban residential area in Tallaght, South Dublin, Ireland.
It's a nice little area, I've always loved going over there for breaks away. Am excited to go back over there for christmas, gives us a break from this boring town.
Eventually, I've managed to get everything that I'm going to need for the time away, shoving the rest into my suitcase, closing it and dragging it down the stairs alongside with my backpack.
My grandma is stood there waiting for me, giving us an eye roll, due to the time I took.
I then follow her out the door and down the steps of her house as we then pack our bags into the boot and get into the car to make our way to the airport to meet the rest of our family to make the journey to Dublin.
Whilst sat in the car as we make the journey to the airport, I have my music on blast as I sit, staring out of the window, thinking about life over the last few months.
Football at Cardiff has been going amazingly, we've won every fixture so far, playing multiple home and away games which have all been great.
I've loved near enough every minute of it, apart from the permanent scar I have above my eye from an elbow twice by a feisty irish girl.
School is, well, school, so basically, it's shit, it's exams after exams for me, and i'm absolutely certain that I am failing all of them.
I hardly turn up, never mind pay attention there, never mind do work, I literally struggle to even go because of how mentally draining and shit it is there.
However, truly, my sole focus has only been football, we still don't get to play it at school which really fucks me off if i'm being completely honest.
Hence why I never turn up to PE lessons, plus the PE staff are either bitchy or creepy, so I stay far away from those weird creatures.
After a 45 minute drive, we arrive at the airport, we get into the car park and park up, seeing the rest of our family arriving or already here.
I get out the car, going to the boot to grab my suitcase and bag, and then make my way over to the rest of my family, stood waiting.
"Heya y/n" my uncle says, "Hiya, alright?" I responded, "yeah good, how's football going?" he asks back, "Yeah all really good, smashing the league so far" I respond with a smile.
I then make my way over to my cousins, who i'm really close with, we make small chat, having a catch-up as the adults sort their shit out.
Eventually they tell us to get a shift on and start walking over to the airport and through the entrance to get ourselves and our bags all sorted n' stuff.
