Chapter 15

Same time as last chapter, just a new POV before we get into the fun stuff.

Ellie's POV

"Yeah, good news, I spoke to them, i'm off to St. George's Park, tomorrow" y/n said before quickly disappearing into the showers.

"WHAT the actual FUCKKK!" Abi shouted, I looked to her, and she looked pissed, why? and so did most of her closest friends.

"Now. HOW the actual FUCK has she only got into the England squad" Abi said, clearly pissed, why the fuck is she mad for, it's a great achievement for y/n.

"The girl played like 10 minutes for fucks sake, how come it's only her that got in then though? What cos she scored goals and "won us" the game" Jade sneered on.

"Yeah exactly, like we're the ones who were playing for longer, working our arses off, we are the ones who played more, we're the ones who were in the starting 11 for a reason" Millie said on.

I turned my back to them, rolling my eyes, horrible girls these are I thought to myself. Like why can't you be happy for your teammate for gods sake, it's a great achievement, we should be cheering her on, not getting all pissy and jealous about it, I also thought to myself.

I grab my stuff I need to get cleaned and also went to head into the shower as the girls carried on bickering, but before I could get through the other door, "Ellie, what do you think about this whole thing then?" another girl asked, I turned around, seeing it was Millie who asked, and all of the sudden, all eyes turned onto me as the room fell silence, awaiting for my response.

"Uh well, i'm happy for her, it's a great opportunity for y/n, and we should all be proud of her" I say before quickly making my way through the door, not wanting any bitchy comments from them because I was actually happy for her, she's doing well and progressing, getting recognition for her talent and hard work, so good on her.

Y/N's POV

As I get out of the shower, I quickly put my clean clothes on and wrap a towel around my head for a moment to dry my hair a bit before throwing it up into a messy bun.

Once I briefly sorted myself out, I walked out the showers and back into our changing room to see a few of the girls had left, however there were still some here, those being of Abi, Megan, Jade, Millie, they're like their own little group, always with eachother.

As I walked back in, their conversation stopped and they all just turned, staring at me, I just ignored them and went to my seat, grabbing all my belongings, shoving them into my bag before going to head out of the changing room with a beaming smile on my face, and they all saw that, not looking impressed.

I make my way down the corridor and just by the exit door, Lauren was stood there, "Sooo, y/n?" Lauren says with a smile.

I know exactly what she's hinting at, so I give a big grin before replying with "Well, i'm off to St. George's Park, tomorrow" I responded, her face immediately lit up.

"Haha, see! what did I tell you! I knew you'd do it, well done" Lauren said, opening her arms, I embrace her, hugging her back before pulling away. "Thank you, for sorting all of this for me" I say gratefully.

"You're more than welcome, however, I didn't get you here, you got yourself here. All of this is because of your hard work, abilities and talent" Lauren told me. "Awh, thank you, Lau" I say.

"Right off you go, good luck, let us know how you get on" She says before I make my way out the door, "I will, thanks" I replied before leaving the building with a spring in my step and a huge smile on my face as I made my way to my grandma's car.
