Is that not the best dance to ever exist?

I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was our birthday, and we were hanging out at Boke's apartment. We were just 18. Suddenly this message came on our phones talking about a zombie attack but we didn't listen until an alert sounded on our phones and the TV.

**Timothy**: (I remember that it was scary for me)! *He put his legs on the table and kept reading.*

**Attention!** This is an urgent message. There is an imminent threat to our safety. These creatures are attracted to heat, so extinguish all lights, secure your doors, stay away from windows, and arm yourselves. We are in a crisis, and we need to take this seriously. Listen to me and God bless America! **Boke**: What the hell...

**Damion**: ...is going on? And James, being the holy yapper of the group, just did what he does best. Can you guess it?

**James**: Well, it looks like we should do what the alert told us. *He had his wide smile on his face.* **Damion**: YEAH! We all got up and went to the bedroom. On the way, we put a chair under the doorknob, just in case. The place was huge, like a one-story house with lots of space and freedom. T

he room was decorated in a modern style with lots of white and chrome. There was a big window that looked out over the city.

**Timothy**: (I was 10 around that time and my mom and I hid in a school gym since it was one of the first safe havens at the start of it.)

*He was getting ready to go back to reading.* ?????: Hey Timothy, you and I gotta go kill some zombies near the preschool.

The guards there can't leave because zombies have surrounded them on all sides, and we're bringing Sebastian to bring them ammo!

**Timothy**: Bet, Eagle Eye. I just need to go get my stuff. *He puts up his book and gets up.* Oh, and I need to get my gun.

**Eagle Eye**: Ok, me and Sebastian are gonna be at the front gate. Timothy then heads off. First, he goes to the weapon storage...

The tension in the air was palpable as Timothy made his way to the weapon storage.

Eagle Eye: "Make it quick, we don't have much time. These things... they're getting smarter."

Timothy nodded, his mind racing with the gravity of the situation. He remembered the days when the biggest worry was what game to play next, not whether they'd live to see another sunrise.

Timothy: (I never thought I'd miss those boring afternoons.) He grabbed his trusty sr-410 checking the chamber before slinging it over his shoulder.

The weapon felt heavy in his hands, a stark reminder of the world they now lived in. A world where birthdays were overshadowed by survival, and the only gift worth giving was another day of life.

Sebastian: "Got enough ammo?"

Timothy: "Yeah, let's do this."

They rendezvoused at the front gate, the once bustling entrance now eerily silent. The city beyond was a shadow of its former self, with only the groans of the undead breaking the silence.
