"I don't wanna lose control, nothing I can do anymore. Trying everyday when I hold my breath, spinnin' out in space pressing on my chest. I don't wanna lose control"
~ZOE WEES
THE SUN RAYS piercing through my bedroom window stirred me up from sleep, I rolled to the other side of the bed where the lamp was. I pulled the string, turning it off. Laying down on my back, I let out a deep sigh, reminiscing yesterday. Mum found out about what I did, apparently she heard when my car pulled up in the garage and she saw Tynan and Noel leave, long story cut short, she made me promise not to see them anymore. It wasn't a hard task, Tynan had made sure to tell me yesterday.
"I really appreciate you helping me but this is it. I never want to cross path you, neither do I want to see your pale face. Thank you"
I couldn't actually blame Tynan, I've learnt to accept that I wasn't normal, I've learnt to accept that not everyone likes me and I thought I was fine with it until yesterday, I've never felt so alive, driving through the night with so much thrill that almost choked me and I realized I wanted more of that thrill. Tynan is a scary guy and he looks like someone that squash skulls if you don't follow his orders and I wasn't ready to have mine squashed.
The guilt building inside of me for breaking the promise to my best friend made me decided to do as Tynan said. I'll try not to cross paths with him.
I groaned as I pulled myself off my bed and stretched with a moan. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, avoiding to look in the mirror. Benn was returning today with his female cousin and I plan to impress her so she could like me and become my friend. I'm desperately in need of a girlfriend.
I almost let out a scream when something furry rubbed against my leg but I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Snowy. "You shouldn't be in here Snowy. C'mon girl, let's have some breakfast"
Picking Snowy up in my hands, I left the bathroom and soon reached downstairs where I found mum stirring something on the stove. "Good morning mum"
"Morning Delia, slept well?"
"Yeah, you?" I asked as I went through the cabinets for Snowy's food. Mum looked back at me and replied with a 'hmm' before going back to stirring. I shrugged at her answer and carried Snowy to the living room. I poured her some food which she sniffed before eating.
"You've a session with Mrs Hart tomorrow" mum started. "And I'll drive you there myself"
My nose scrunched up at the mention of my therapist. "You'll leave work?" I asked, my hand pausing in the air. Snowy nudged me and I returned to pouring her some milk.
"I'll take an excuse. Your dad called by the way"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, he's returning the day after tomorrow"
"Tuesday?" I asked. She mumbled a yes and turned off the stove, removing the momma's food is the best apron I got her last Christmas.
"Food is ready baby" she said with a huge smile. "I cooked your favorite, pasta and bacon with apple pie"
"I thought rice was my favorite?"
"A thank you would suffice" she said throwing me a dirty look.
"Smells good. Thanks mum" I said and hugged her before plopping down on the chair and digging in the food immediately.
