Sean, Yok and Gram waited until the crazy crowd scattered into the forest before they followed them. It was easier to be behind everyone and not dread to get stabbed from behind. Sean observed the surroundings, spotting the familiar duo hiding behind the big tree. They were glued together, and if the situation were different, Sean would find the boy clinging to the other cute. They didn't seem stupid. they created a similar strategy, but Sean still thought they wouldn't last long. Somehow, it made him sad.
"Clear, we can go," Yok whispered. Sean and Gram nodded. Sean let his eyes travel to the two boys before he followed Gram and Yok further to the Dark Forest.
"It's creepy," Yok murmured. Sean could only agree the Dark Forest screams weird from all sides. No bird was tweeting, and they didn't spot any animals or any trace of them.
"We should hurry to the first location." Gram urged them. His fear was showing, yet Sean didn't blame him. They all were scared.
"This way." Gram led the way through the thick bush.
They heard a loud noise and quickly hid behind the wall of a smaller tree, studying the happening in front of them. The group of five men armed to the hilt cornered a smaller group. It seemed like they wanted to enter the crypt and search for the key, but the assholes didn't let them. The argument was getting louder and more heated. They pushed at each other, and out of nowhere, the guns were out, and loud bangs echoed through the silent forest. Sean watched the first body slide onto the ground, the red stain spreading on the grey shirt. Sean was frozen in shock so were Gram and Yok. The shootout continued until there was no man from the smaller group standing. The killers were laughing as the blood of their opponents soaked the earth under their feet.
Sean had to cover his mouth, preventing himself from shouting. He knew what Hunt was about, but seeing it with his eyes was ten times worse. Sean felt Yok trambke beside him. He put his hand on his shoulder. They had to stay calm and quiet, or they would meet a similar fate. Another two guys appeared from the exit, showing off the key they found. Sean tried to ignore the red stains on their clothes and faces.
This place, this game, they must stop it. They must stop Tawi.
