[4] A Miraculous Successor P2

After he said goodbye to Ochaco, Izuku made a decision that no matter what anyone else thinks or says about him today, he swore that he would always believe in himself, and he'll keep smiling just like All Might. Ever since they were kids, they made a promise that they would help each other make their dreams come true: Ochaco can earn money so she can help her parents and Izuku can be a hero who saves people with a smile. Ever since then, he thought it could actually be possible to become a hero even though he was Quirkless. But after what transpired to him, he came to realize just how wrong he was.

First, he had his hero analysis book burned and thrown out the window by my childhood bully, Katsuki Bakugo. He went out to get it, only to see it being nibbled by some koi fish. Once he took it out, he started to remember the words his mom told him on the day he found out he didn't have special powers.

"I'm sorry Izuku, I wished things were different"

Not wanting to remember that moment, he pumped his arm in the air like All Might and put a smile on his face. But then things went downhill when he got attacked by a slime villain. He was nearly choked to death until the hero he had admired for many years jumped out of the sewers and performed his signature Texas Smash on the villain sending him flying away.

Once he woke up, All Might himself stood in front of him in all his glory. Izuku screamed in excitement to get his autograph and was about to ask him an important question. But when he saw All Might leaving, he hitched a ride onto his leg causing him to fly into the air at high speed. After landing on a nearby roof, All Might deflates from his muscular form into a skinny man which causes Izuku to once again scream in terror. Though still freaking out, he worked up the courage to ask him the question he's been wanting the answer for so long.

"Can I be a hero even without a quirk?"

After asking that question, All Might told him about his past and how he got his injury to his stomach. And when he finished explaining, he flat-out answered the question Izuku asked him before.

"So no I honestly don't think you can become a hero without a quirk"

After hearing that and the other alternative offers like policemen and firefighters, Izuku with his head down told him he understood with my head down. After standing silently on the roof for more than 10 minutes, Izuku simply used the same exit All Might went, went down the stairs, and exited the building. While walking down the street, he pulled out his burnt-up Hero Analysis book and scrolled through the pages while the words of All Might and other people deriding him went through his mind. Izuku struggled to control his tears. He cursed himself, reminding himself that he had only been living in denial since he honestly knew what All Might had said was true.

His train of thought was then broken as he heard the sound of an explosion nearby causing him to turn towards it. Without even taking a second to think about it, Izuku rushed over to the scene only to see a crowd of people gathering in front of an alleyway. Pushing through the crowd to see what was going on, he was met with a horrifying sight that caused him to cover his mouth with both hands. A villain, entirely made out of slime, was going on a rampage in the middle of a blazing fire.

Arriving at the scene, Adrien pushed through the crowd just as Izuku did and saw the slide villain reeking chaos.

"This isn't good, where are the heroes?" he said looking around to see of them like Kamuii Woods rescuing civilians from the flames, Backdraft busy keeping the fire under control and Mount Lady struggling to get through the buildings due to her large size. The last one, Adrien couldn't help but look confused. "Seriously!?"

He looked back to the scene to see some of the heroes jump out of the way of a swing from the slime villain. He could hear how they say that none of their quirks were suited for this so they would have to wait for backup. Clenching his fist, Adrien just remembered what he had been holding in his hand. Opening up his palm, he looked down at the ring which would once again give him the power of destruction. While trying to make a decision, he her whimpering from beside him. Beside him stood a teenage boy with messy green hair who had his hands covering his mouth. Though his voice was muffled, Adrien could hear it's of what he was saying.
