Me(covering myself as much as I can): uh Sam ?
Sam(surprised but stays facing the other way): Phoenix ?
Me: uh yeah it's me
Sam: give me a second I'll get Leah I'll make sure no one comes close alright
Me(nod): Ok
He shifts back into his wolf and a minute after a grey wolf makes it presence seen. The wolf go back behind a tree and a few seconds later the person that comes out is Leah.
Me: Leah ? Your a wolf too ?
Leah(nod and walk up to me with some clothes): I am I'll explain later put this on we'll go to Emily's and we'll explain everything
I nod and put the shorts and crop top that she gave me.
Leah(look back at Sam): you can turn around Sam she's dressed
Sam(turn around): let's walk back
I follow them with a few steps behind. We walked to Emily's and Sam's and I sighed as they entered the small house. Once I walk in I'm greeted by not only my brother but also my best friend. I pass from fear to anger in a single second.
Me(angrily): what in the holy fuck is that supposed to mean ?!
Jacob(get up): Phoenix we can ex-
Me(cuts him off and point to his seat): sit your ass down Jacob Black
Seth: listen Nix we couldn't tell you
Me(look at him with daggers in my eyes): couldn't or wouldn't Seth !
Sam(get in front of me): they couldn't Phoenix it's the rules they didn't have a choice
Me(look at him angrily): what are you talking about what rules ?
Sam(calmly): take a seat and calm down alright I'll explain everything
Still shooting him daggers with my eyes I sit down and cross my arms and legs. I can hear Leah chuckles which cause Sam to give her a dirty look. She stops and Sam start to explain everything how our legends are real and all the rules I'll have to follow as a new member of the pack. First rule and most important, you do what the alpha says in our pack case Sam's the alpha I also learned about imprints and how Emily is Sam's and Rachel is Paul's. Once he finished Emily put a bowl of muffin in front of me and I practically jump on them. I didn't know I was hungry before now. Then everything comes flooding back. I was raped by Jason... I start to panic my breathing become shaky and my vision becomes blurry. Why is this happening to me ? A few tears escape my eyes and I angrily wipe them off.
Seth(frown): Phoenix ?
He takes my hand and I rapidly take mine away as if his touch burned me. I got up and sprinted out. I stayed concentrated to not shift and once I finally reached the top of the cliff I fall down onto my knees and let out a scream that could give you shills. I start to cry and cover my face with my hands.
Crack
I get up and turn around.
Me(wiping my tears): who's there ?
Embry(comes out of behind a tree): what are you doing here Phoenix ?
Me(take a step back as he take a step forward): I had to get away
Embry(locks eyes with me): I-
I felt time stop as I can feel the pull towards him in that moment everyone else became secondary. I took another step back in shock. Then I felt myself fall down the cliff. I can't believe I'm gonna die now of all times. I felt myself fall in the water and I tried to swim to the surface but the ocean is like a whirlpool today after debating to swim up i black out.
Embry(in a distant voice): Phoenix ! Come on don't you dare die on me now
Me(gaging out water and gasp): Embry ?
Embry(sigh in relief and hugs me): oh thank god
Me(sigh): I thought I was gonna die
Embry: you scared the living shit out of me there tiger
I chuckle softly and look at the sky profiting of his heat.
Jacob(sees me): Phoenix ! Phoenix ! (Runs up to me) you ok ?! What happened ?!
Me(look at Jacob): I uh fell down the cliff accidentally
Jacob(sigh and takes me from Embry arms): oh good you can be so clumsy sometimes
Seth(sigh seeing me and sits down and goes to hug me): Jesus Christ you scared m- (Embry growl) wha- oh (take a step back) yeah I'd hug you but I'd probably get my head chopped off
Me(frown): what ?
Jacob(look at Embry): what ?
Jacob suddenly get up and so do I seeing as he's getting angrier by the minute. I can hear Embry get up behind me and take a step back.
Jacob(angrily): you imprinted on my sister !
Embry: I-
Jacob(take a step forward): you imprinted on my sister Call !? You're my best friend and you imprint on my baby sister !?
Me(get in his way in possessiveness): don't you dare touch him he's mine !
Jacob(backs down and look at me): you imprinted on him too... fine I won't touch him
Suddenly I hear something in the woods and then a smell of death hits me. I look in the forest direction and let out a growl before I can even comprehend what's happening I'm running towards the smell and I even shift without feeling a thing. As I follow the scent I end up coming face to face with a tall guy with dark brown hair and a well built body right at the boarder of our territory which is the river. I growl at him and he starts to laugh.
Emmett: what's wrong mutt not crossing the river
Edward(appears besides Emmett): she knows she can't cross the river she might be new but she's very intelligent... and Jacob sister
Growls
Emmett: great the whole pack is here
Edward(looking at Sam): Sam ask that you stop the comments because it's her first day as a wolf and she's not stable enough to not try to rip you apart even against his commands
I turn my head towards Sam and let out a deep growl showing my unhappiness with his words.
Telepathic conversation
Sam: I just stated a fact Phoenix
Me: so you didn't have to use the word unstable !
Jacob: calm down Phoenix can we get this over with Sam Bella just came back from Florida I'd like to see her
Me(scoff): wow really Jacob when are you gonna get it she doesn't love you !
Jacob(turn to me): she can't see it because of that bloodsucker !
Me: No she never did and never will love you Jake she used you as a distraction nothing more now get over it !
End of telepathic conversation
I turn around and run back to Sam and Emily's. In a minute I'm already at their door step except I don't have any clothes. Shoot !
Emily(walk out with a smile): hi Phoenix there's a box full of clothes behind I added some more girl clothes for you
I lay down on my stomach and close my eyes putting my head forward. She chuckles and gives me a small petting in the head before taking a step. I get back on my legs and walk behind the house before shifting back. Shifting still hurt but it wasn't as bad as before.
