Sam: good your here early you're better then your brother at this
Me(smirk): I'm better then Jacob at practically everything Sam
Sam(chuckles): we'll see about that now I know Leah showed you how to fight in wolf form but it's also important to know how to fight as a human the fight is not only physical it's also psychological so don't hold back the snarky comments your objective over the next week or two is to defeat me however you want only rule no comment on imprints got it ?
Me(nod): I got it
Sam: alright today I'll show you how to fight as a human so pay attention
I nod and he starts to show me a couple of moves and how to execute them. I intensely listen to what he says and shows because I know that after learning all of this it means I can defend myself against others, like Jason... after hours of training we finally stopped and I let myself fall on the ground dramatically taking a few deep breaths.
Me: Jesus Christ this is more exhausting then surfing
Sam(chuckles and sit down in front of me): you'll get used to it
Me(sit up): so what's for tomorrow?
Sam(smile): I'm happy to see your excited about this tomorrow we'll do a bit more of what we just did but we'll also start to actually fight
Me(nod): alright... I have a question Sam
Sam(nod): go ahead
Me: why are we only two girls ?
Sam(sigh): we don't really know why my guess is that for girls to shift they need to encounter a major traumatic event... (as I look away) I won't ask what happened to you but if you ever need to talk you can come to me or Emily if your more comfortable with her
Me(nod looking at the forest): thanks Sam it means a lot
Sam: I'm sure you've already heard the legends since your dad is on the council but it's a mandatory thing to attend for all new wolves so tonight bonfire at 8pm you need to be there it'll be the first time for Seth, Leah and Quil to hear them
Me(frown and look back at him): Quil ? When did that happen ?
Sam(smile): not long after you I'll probably get the two of you to train together at some point
Me(nod): I see well (get up) I better get back home see you later Sam
Sam(smile): see you later Phoenix
I walk back home sore of all this training. I get into the house after a few minutes of walking. I get myself to the bathroom and undress before jumping into a warm shower. After my shower I get out and wrap myself in a towel before grabbing my clothes from the day and walking into my room. I let my clothes fall into my dirty laundry basket and start to find clothes for tonight.

Once I'm dressed I grab my sketchbook and pens before walking into the leaving room.
Dad: how was training with Sam ?
Me: it was painful but useful
Dad(smile): ready to go to the bonfire ?
Me(nod clenching my sketchbook and pens closer to my chest): yeah
We get out the house and dad takes the handicap ramp to get down once he's down I give him my sketchbook and pens with a smile before taking the handgrips and pushing him towards the bonfire. We got there after a few minutes of walking for me and being pushed for my dad. I leave him with the others council member and he gives me my sketchbook and pens back.
I grab them with a small smile and sit down beside Leah. I tiredly open my sketchbook and start to draw. As I was in my own world concentrated on my drawing I could feel someone sitting down next to me. I gave a quickly look to my side and saw it was Embry. I nervously clenched on my pen a bit harder and tried to focus on my drawing again.
Embry(whisper): didn't know you were this good at drawing sunshine
I froze up in place and hardly gulped. I could feel my heart starting to race. I felt Leah's hand on my arm and I look at her on the verge of tears. I know he won't harm me but it's not of him I'm scared it's the memories given to me by the nickname... I close my eyes a second and regain some composure. Leah gets up and goes to get something to eat.
Me(look down at my sketch): I'm sorry Embry...
Embry(sadly): it's okay (cheer up a bit) by the way this sweater fits you way better then it did on me
Me(look at the sweater): I didn't even realize I had put yours on
Embry(with a small smile): well I'm happy you did and you can wear as often as you like
Me(look at him): so you don't want it back ?
Embry(chuckles): nope it's yours
Me(look back at my sketchbook with a small smile): good because I didn't entend on giving it back
I hear all the nearby people start to laugh and Leah comes back and hands me a burger. I take it after closing my sketchbook and putting my pens down. I forcefully eat it since I got a lot of people looking. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have ate it. Bella and Jacob showed up just as dad was about to start to tell the legend of the pack. Having heard it a thousand times I ended up not listening and started to draw again instead. I was halfway done with my drawing when dad finished the telling the legend.
Dad: with time our enemies disappeared but there's one left the cold ones. Our magic awakens at their contact and today we feel the approaching menace in our veins. An awful scourge is approaching and we'll have to prepare... all together
I looked down at my sketch and tried to finish my sketch but I couldn't I was too tired. I closed my eyes and I could feel myself fall deep into sleep.
————— (in the middle of the night)
Me(sit up and yell): NOOOO !
Jacob(runs in): what's wrong ?!
Me(calming down): nothing... just a nightmare
Jacob(sits down on my bed): you never had those
Me(shrug): I wasn't a wolf before
Jacob: I guess... you know you can talk to me right?
