Broken {Embry Call}

Chapter 12

I continue to try to free myself from Jared and Paul as to jump in to hold me back. I smell Embry walk in the house with Carlisle behind him. Embry grabs me by the waist and pull me back. I stop resisting and let him take me out of the house. Everyone follows closely behind.

————- (after a while)

I've been hearing my brother screaming in agony for so long I have no idea how much time has passed the only thing I know is that it's now dark outside. I can't take it anymore ! I put my hands on my ears trying to block my brother cries of pain. I fall down onto my knees and start to cry. I can feel Embry kneeling down and hugging me but my Jacobs cry are so bad... I stay down crying as a truck pull up. Not long after everything stop I look up and see Carlisle get out of the house.

Carlisle: the worst as past he'll recover I gave him some morphine but he climbs fast in temperature I'll be back to give him a perfusion

Dad: thank you

Carlisle(look at Bella): he's asking for you

Bella goes in and I sigh tears still rolling down my face. I wipe my tears with my hands and get back onto my feet. After a few minutes Bella gets out and leave in her truck. Embry take my hand and I sigh. At least no one else was injured.

—————( a few weeks later)

A few weeks have passed and Jacob is back on his feet. He can't shift yet but Carlisle says it's for soon. I've been passing the last weeks with Embry and we grew quite closer. I took back the final exams I missed because of my first shift and I passed everything so it's official I'm officially a senior. Meanwhile Embry, Jared, Quil and Jacob have officially graduated from high school. I took a job in a coffee shop in town and started my classes to get my driver license.

I've been saving up to buy myself my first car but of course with only about a month done of working it's not a lot. Seth and I are back at being the best of friends but he still try not to be to close to me when Embry's near or with us. As for Jason, let's just I paid him a little visit and he barely came out alive. Am I crazy ? Maybe a little bit but hey when the others learned kind of accidentally about him raping me they wanted to kill him so the fact that i let him live is pretty much better then what my brother or my imprint would have done along with my brother-in-law. Anyway, I walk over to Seth with a smile.

Me: Hey dumbass !

Seth(smile): hey idiot ! Ready for our round ?

Me(smirk): always ! (Start to run towards the forest) try catching up loser !

I shift as I cross the first trees and start to run towards the river. Seth being not to far behind I look back at him quickly before looking back in front of me. We reached the river and I started to walk along the river. Seth joined me and walked besides me. After a few hours of walking the limits of our territory we reached our starting point and started to run back towards Sam's and Emily's while play fighting.

We get to the last range of trees of the forest and Seth goes behind the guys tree to shift back as I get to mine and Leah's to shift. Once I've shifted I pick a pair of shorts and a shirt before walking out of the woods. I jog up to Seth who's a bit up front and we walk to the house together. I walk inside and shovel Paul's hair as I pass behind him with a small smile before sitting down in the sofa besides the side table on which I decided to leave a second set of pens and a sketchbook.

Sam(at the table): so Phoenix you start school as a senior next month how do you feel about that ?

Me(shrugs): meh I don't care I just want to finish high school as fast as I can

Paul: you know what you want to do after ?

Me(sigh): not really maybe Illustrator or art therapist

Seth: that would suit you well

I smile and pick up my sketchbook and start to draw. As I'm drawing Jared, Jacob and Embry walk in and Jared sits down in the recliner while Embry lay down on the sofa putting his head on my lap. I smile and close my sketchbook putting it back onto the side table.

Embry: what were you drawing ?

Me(smile): that's a surprise

Embry(frown): a surprise ?

Me(chuckles): yup for everyone my Christmas present to all of you

Seth: that's for Christmas?! Damn that drawing is going to be insane if you work on it for so long

Me(smile): I hope it will be

Embry: it definitely will be

Emily: Well I can't wait to see it

Me(smile): I'm gonna have a special one too for each of you !

Paul(smile): keeping yourself busy I see

Me(chuckles): I guess I am

My phone start to ring and pick it up to see my sister Rachel's name pop up on the screen

Me(pick up): Hey Rachel

Rachel: hey Nixie can you Jake, Paul and Embry come eat to the house tonight please

Me(frown): uh sure I'll tell them

Rachel: thanks Nixie see you later

Me: yeah see you later

I hang up and I look at my phone puzzled. I wonder why she wants us all there ?

Jacob: what is it Nix ?

Me: uh yeah Rachel asked for us to eat diner with her and dad

Paul: who's us ?

Me: oh yeah I mean me, Jacob, Paul and Embry

Embry(frown): even me ?

Me(nod): yeah

Jacob: gotta be something important then

Me: most likely yeah
