Broken {Embry Call}

Chapter 10

————— (a few days later)

After training with the vampires for a few days in one of the brief moment where we weren't training I finally got the pack tattoo. I was currently drawing in Emily's leaving room with my earphones in my ears while humming to the playing songs. I should grab my painting stuff I haven't painted in so long. I get up and look at Emi with a smile.

Me: hey Emi I'll be back in about 15 minutes I'm gonna go grab my painting stuff from my house

Emily(smile): alright sweetheart stay safe

Me(smile): I will !

I walk out and start to walk towards my house with my music in my ears. As I was half way over to my house I felt myself being pulled away I felt my phone slipped onto the ground along with my earphones I turn around digging my heels into the ground.

Me(see who it is): Ja- Jason... stop it please

Jason(smirk and pull me behind a tree): I told you I'd keep my eyes on you and I don't like seeing you getting close to all those guys I think I'm gonna have to teach you another lesson sunshine

Me(start to panic): pl- please not again

Growl

I heard the deep growling of a wolf and I smelled the scent of my imprint. Oh god please tell me he didn't hear what I just said...

Jason(scared): yo what the fuck ! This wolf is huge !

I take a deep breath and kick him in the stomach with my knee making him lose his grip on me. I free myself and walk behind Embry. I was still shaking like a leaf because I was so scared but I felt better having Embry standing besides me in his wolf form. Jason started to run away in fear and Embry was about to launch at him when Sam got in his way. Embry let out a deep growl but submitted to our alpha commands. He went behind a nearby tree and I could hear his bone cracking as he shifted back. I was still shaking like a leaf I'm not even sure I could move right now... he came back and he looked pissed while looking at Sam. When his gaze turned to me his face softened a bit. He walk up and stand right by my side.

Embry(look at me): you ok ?

Me(gulp): I- I-  No

Sam went behind the same tree as Embry did and came back a few instant later.

Sam: let's get you back home Phoenix

I nod and as I take a step forward I feel my legs giving out. As I think I'm gonna fall on my knees I feel two strong arms grabbing my waist and helping me stand.

Embry(his arms around my waist): woah alright how about I carry you ?

I simply nodded in agreement and he picks me up bridal style. Sam started to walk towards my house while Embry followed him with me in his arms. After walking for a few minutes I saw my phone onto the ground. As I saw it Sam picked it up and put it in one of his shorts pocket. Happily it was just foggy today else my phone wouldn't work anymore. We got in front of my house a minute later.

Rachel(runs out): oh my god Phoenix !

Jacob(walk outside): woah what happened ?!

Embry looked at me as if to ask if he could put me down and I nodded feeling less shaky. Once I'm up onto my feet I look down and take a deep breath before looking at my brother and sister.

Me: Jason

Jacob(frown): as in Jason from school ?

Embry(groan): yeah the prick had her pined against a tree when I showed up in wolf form

Me(smile a bit): scared him enough for him to loosen up his grip so I could defend myself

Sam: and I showed up in time before Embry tore him apart as if he was a cold one

Embry(mumbles): I'm still not happy about that

Sam(sigh): I know and if he was a cold one or another wolf I would have let you but he's human

Jacob(angrily): I swear if I see that guy I'm go-

Me(look at Jacob seriously): No you won't I forbid you from it he's mine (spit out) he got me by surprise next time it'll be the other way around he's gonna regret coming near me

Sam(sigh): as long as you don't kill him

Me(laugh wickedly): where would the fun be in that (mumbles) after what he put me through thats nothing

I can feel the guys tense up at my words but before they can ask anything I get engulfed in a big hug by my sister.

Rachel: I'm just happy your alright you should call Emily she's the one that called me she was quite worried

I nod and turn to Sam handing out my hand so he gives me my phone. He gives it to me and I unplug my earphones before calling her.

Emily(answer): Phoenix ?! Are you alright ?

Me(sigh): I am Emi don't worry I'll let Sam tell you what happened I just want to sleep it off right now

Emily(sigh): alright close your window before going to sleep

Me(smile): I will good night Emi

Emily: good night

I hang up and look at Sam

Sam: tomorrow you'll be with Seth you'll be with him along with Bella and Edward and with your brother also but not for long you'll most likely just cross path

Me(frown): why ?! I can fight !

Sam: I know but you just had a traumatic experience let's go slowly

Me(scoff angrily): could have been worse

Sam: it's an order Black

Me(clench my teeth): as you wish... alpha

Sam leaves and Rachel grabs my hand to lead me inside I look at Embry who seems defeated and I mouth a simple "sorry" as my sister gets me inside. She sits me down at the table in the dining room and goes into the kitchen. I hear her rummage around the kitchen and I can hear her mumble unclear things. She generally does that when she's stressed. I sigh and let my head fall into my hands. A few minutes later I can hear her walk back to the dining room so I look up and I see her put down a cup of hot chocolate in front of me.

Rachel(kiss my head): just like mom did before

Me(sadly): I can't remember her voice anymore...

Rachel(smile sadly): you were too young

She walks away towards her room and I sigh listening to the noises of the house. I could hear my dad snoring, my brother pacing in his room and I also hear Rachel sobbing. Oh Rachel... she's always been a very empathic person. I stop listen and focus on drinking my hot chocolate. Once I finish it I go into my room and close the door.
