I walk behind the house and shift back. I gotta say shifting back in human form becomes less and less painful every time. I pick up a pair of shirt along with a crop top shirt and under it I find a hoodie with a note on it.

I smile and out the hoodie on. As I put it on I smelled the intoxicating smell of my imprint. This is gonna drive me crazy. I walk back to the front of the house and Paul went behind it. I walk inside to find a smiling Embry to the sight of his hoodie on me. If only the damn memories of Jason could go away... I want to enjoy my new life...
Jacob(burst in): Embry, Quil you guys still coming with me to the Cullens
Me(roll my eyes): why the hell are you going to the Cullens Jake ?
Jacob: I have a graduation gift to give to Bella
Me(scoff): of course it's about her
Jacob(look at me angrily): don't start Phoenix
Me(look at him angrily): why not ? Since you shifted you haven't acted much like a brother to me you barely talk to me except when it was to tell me to go watch Bella damn house ! You haven't even asked how I was adjusting not once Jake ! Some brother you are !
Jacob(look away ashamed): I'm sorry...
Me(scoff): sorry ain't gonna cut it this time
Phone ringing
I look at my phone and see my oldest sister name onto my screen. I take a deep breath and walk out the house.
Me: hey Rebecca
Rebecca: Nixie ! I'm happy to hear your voice baby sister
Me(smile): me too I miss you Beca
Rebecca: oh sweetie I miss you too I'll make sure to be home for Christmas
Me(smile with a tear falling down): I'll hold you to that
Rebecca: I gotta go Nixie but I promise to call you soon so we can talk more alright
Me(nod): Ok i love You Beca
Rebecca: I love you too Nixie
She hangs up and I sigh. After our mother passing when I was about 7 years old Rebecca and Rachel kind of took her place as a mother figure. Sure Rachel is still here but I don't have as much in common with Rachel as I do with Rebecca. Jacob walked out and passed me with Quil and as Embry walk out he came up to me.
Embry(kiss my head): I'll be back soon darling
Me(surprised and blush): o- ok
He walked away with my brother and Quil I sighed and I looked towards the forest feeling a presence. No... he's here... I gulp and I can hear him laugh with my wolf hearing. It's a sadistic laugh. I start to shake in fear and I try my best not to shift because he doesn't know of our existence and he can't know. I walk back inside the house and try to find Leah but she's not here. Emily walk up to me with a worried look.
Emily(whisper): Phoenix are you ok ?
Me(grab her hand and take her outside just far enough from the house so no one can hear): I- i can't do this anymore Emi !
Emily(frown): what's going on Phoenix what are you not telling me ?
Me(tear up): the reason I shifted... I can feel him looking at me... all the time
Emily(understanding): oh my god... you were raped...
Me(starting to cry): I just want him to leave me alone !
Emily(hugs me): who else knows about this?
Me(hugging her): just Leah even though I'm pretty sure Sam has his idea
Emily(cup my face): listen to me Phoenix... whatever your thinking it's not your fault and you can overcome this now I understand the reaction you had the first day when Seth touched your hand
Me(crying): I- it felt like it was him... the nightmare I had...the feeling of helplessness... of being scared all the time it's exhausting I don't know if I can hold on much longer
Emily(wipe my tears with her thumbs): you can do this hold onto the feeling Embry gives you I know how it feels... the feeling of being protected and loved hold onto that that's what's going to help you
I nod and I take a deep breath and recompose myself. I walk back with Emi to her house and walk back inside I sit down on the sofa and bring my legs up to my chest and wrap my arms around them. I frown thinking about what Emi said. She's right. When Embry is near I can feel myself relax. I feel protected like nothing or no one could hurt me. I bury my head into his hoodie and take a deep breath inhaling his scent which instantly calms me down. Emily came to sit besides me on the sofa and she taped her leg. I gave her a small smile and layed down my head on her lap. She started to play with my hair while humming an old lullaby. I felt my eyes grow heavier and heavier by the minutes. I couldn't fight it anymore and I fell asleep.
————— (next morning)
I wake up and find myself not in my bed but still on the sofa of Emily's and Sam's. I sit up and look around to see Embry sleeping in the recliner besides me. Maybe that's why I slept like a baby. Finally feeling refreshed I got up and looked at the clock. 5am. Uhm well I look on the table and see my sketchbook with my pens I smile and grab them. I sit down on the sofa and look at Embry sleeping while starting to draw. A few hours passes and as he start to wake up along with Sam and Emily upstairs I take a final look at my drawing.

I smile to myself and close my sketchbook. His eyes flutter open and he yawn before sitting up.
