The forest floor is cold. It feels colder. Maybe it's just because I am barefoot. Shoes never suited me. Not when I was... different. I jump up onto a log. Jumping feels weird now. I used to be more... jumpable. Now, it feels like I'm straining myself.

I jump down. Walking seems the easiest for me now. The wind blows gently across the vines, moss, me. I feel it blow through my hair and I feel it against my skin. It took me a while to get used to feeling wind on my body. I used to be more... covered. I pull my hair back. There's a village nearby. I don't mind going back there. I got nowhere else to go.

I turn. My ears flood with insect sounds and bird sounds. I move my finger around my ear. It's really smooth and round. Well beats the other option. Walking used to feel so much harder. I would be dragged down. Now, I feel like my entire body is upright. I push past the branches and the leaves. I see the village.

There was a big temple gate. There was red buildings and I hear fireworks going off. I see that the streets were buzzing and there was a bunch of laughter. There were sky kites dancing in the wind. Even a couple of dragons. I guess I should see what the commotion is.
