January 7th 2025

Following the UN conference tensions rise across the world between current and previous NATO members. The US, UK, and the Russian Republic form the Global Dimensional Alliance. Formed to cement interdimensional alliances and increase interdimensional trade and defense. After the formation many countries joined. The border disputes between the ICF and the NCAS broke out into full on war mostly as a result of what happened in Liberia. Somalia and Djibouti leave the Ethiopian Union. The Southern African Coalition joined the NCAS to save their failing economy. The protests in the Mato dimension broke out into full blown riots.

(Relations with Japan in the Mato dimension have always been horrible, after the US forced them to give them access to the Mato Sub dimensions fruit. After the development of 30-16x and the election of a new prime minister, relations never went back to normal)

January 8th 2025

NATO members cut off diplomatic relations with the US. Following the cut off the US activated an embargo on NATO members. The NATO states bordering the Russian Republic, declare martial law and prepare for war, as tensions with the Russians worsen after the Ukrainians shoot down a Russian bomber near the Russian city of Belgorod. The embassy in Mato Japan is evacuated after the rioters surround the building. After the evacuation, gas 30-16x was dropped over the embassy to various effects. Relations with Mato Japan are non-existent, preparations to evacuate the base are currently underway. The 4 nuclear ICBMs have already been moved back to our dimension.

(NOTE: Tensions with the other members of NATO have been brewing since the US withdrew from the defense structure in 2020, the conference is what broke the camel's back.)

January 9th 2025

The UN calls for another conference to help soothe tensions, the US is up for the conference, but the remaining NATO members boycott the conference and threaten Switzerland with conflict if they host the conference. These threats caused more countries to leave NATO, and push a forever neutral Switzerland to side more with the GDA for defense. Strangely a meeting between the US, UK, and France takes place, but seems to show nothing in terms of peace. An Outbreak of covid in base star and Azur has put a stop to operations in those dimensions until vaccines can arrive, the HF wants to help find a cure as thanks for help in the 3rd Omerian war and to study a virus that went extinct hundreds of years ago in their dimension.

(NOTE: Covid outbreaks have been somewhat less prevalent after 2021. If outbreaks do occur in interdimensional bases, the base is to be locked down and quarantined, while newly arrived forces move out to make sure it doesn't spread. After the later variants turned into a strengthened flu, the protocol for outbreaks has not been used, instead operations are halted until flu vaccines arrive.)

January 10th 2025

The CAC invaded Ethiopia, causing Somalia and Djibouti to join the NCAS. Angola joins the CAC to help counteract the NCAS. The UN can't do anything due to everyone at each other's throats and most of the UN peacekeeping forces, that are used to enforce ceasefires, have been recalled to their respected countries, due to threats of war looming over the world. Another call for a peace conference has been rejected. The French UN head left in protest over the US embargo, followed by the Chinese head, the UN is stalled because of 2 of the main 5 leaving. The secretary general was forced to resign because of this. The situation in the Innerworld worsens as the capital of the Philian empire burns to the ground, after Japanese forces withdrew back to the rift in the Unri plains due to rising tensions in our world, causing massive losses to the empire and major gains for the rebel army and its supporting countries. The Philian government falls back to the closest city near the gateway. The Queen of the Philian Empire goes to japan, to request more forces into the gateway, against the advice of everyone.
