July 3, 2025. Washington DC. Lincoln Memorial.

A hastily formed police line surges forward into the rioters. The front group falls to the ground and are trampled when the police line doesn't stop. Military police located behind the line, grab them and cuff them. The rioters respond with molotovs and fireworks. This causes the police line to fracture and retreat, with the rioters pressing their advantage. Some of the police fall into the reflecting pool trying to escape the oncoming surge. The federal troops stationed in the Lincoln Memorial drive the rioters away with automatic fire from a browning on the roof. The horde of looters retreat to the Vietnam Memorial and are encircled by federal forces arriving from the Institute of Peace. A destroyer jumps in above and the rioters surrender. More federal armor and troops pour into the city, a quarter of the 300,000 troops stationed in the surrounding countryside of Maryland. The withdrawal Riots, as they would become known, ends with a presidential address from the White House front lawn near where the fence used to stand. The cameras clearly capture the smoke from the recent clash in front of the former president's memorial, who has once again seen his beloved nation in turmoil. Rain starts to pour, dousing the flames. A crack in the monument's roof allows water to drip onto the statue of Lincoln below, running off the face like tears.

Gods Dimension. Arragonian Capital, Kurzen. Wytes Office.

WYTE: The ancient ones advance out of the frontier seems to be growing in ferocity. There are also increasing reports of a resurgence of the Gods Cult in Kurzen itself.

A general stands before him, trying to stay upright. She tries to speak but collapses to the ground coughing.

WYTE: Your army has been swept aside and humiliated at Fort 3, leaving the frontier forts entirely in their hands.

The general climbs up onto the bed in the corner of the office. Wyte continues his tirade.

WYTE: If you can't stop them, then sooner or later the troops the Kingdom of Arem stationed on your border are gonna start attacking, plague or not.

The discussion is halted with a knock at the door. Wyte tells them to enter. A demon with ram horns on each side of his head enters, followed by the president, who's horns protrude from his forehead and curve up. The two stand at parade rest, showing their military training, and look at the disheveled commander.

WYTE: Mr. president... Admiral... I called you here to discuss tactics, as you are the only high ranking generals left unaffected. You have 500,000 troops in total out of the 3.6 million, am I correct?

MLLIAN: Yes, commander Blechin.

WYTE: How fast can you shovel non important personnel up north?

MLLIAN: We have 200,000 near the frontier, so about 4 days.

WYTE: Good.

Wyte snaps his fingers at the general.

WYTE: Silvia go take some cough syrup, I'll teleport you up north after the meeting.

The general stumbles out of the office hacking all the way to the door.

WYTE: Admiral Nllian, how many naval aircraft can you spare?

The admiral ponders.

NLLIAN: 156... 230 at most.

WYTE: Combined with the remaining pilots of the air force, around 490 in total. Alright more than I thought.

The demons shoot a quick glance at each other.

MLLIAN: What exactly is your objective?

WYTE: I'm not too sure. It mostly depends on this campaign's outcome.

Wyte swivels his chair towards the balcony looking out to the ocean white with foam. He then mumbles under his breathe.

WYTE: And whether or not Arem can be quelled

( Paint rounds are commonly used for training operations and in the sport total war. The paint rounds are fired from non-modified rifles. In the sport of total war, the kids are armed with reproductions of WW2 weapons and use paint rounds in mock battles along with jeeps. The paint rounds are non lethal and can be fired at people with no worry. Another purpose of paint rounds is riot control; they can be fired at civilians and can be mixed with pepper spray to disperse crowds. The paint round uses a small amount of gunpowder so it sets off a sound to that of a 22.)
