August 11, 2025. Kurzen. Imperial Palace. Gods Dimension.
The president of the republic is working away in his stuffy office. Trying his best in culling the many bill proposals and reports that have stacked up when he was away. He puts his pen down leaning back in his chair, massaging his temple. Thinking about smoking his pipe. His phone going off steals his attention. The phone on his desk was given by the Americans and has a special feature of showing were in the palace the caller is. The caller is from the Vice president's office. He lets out a hefty sigh before picking up the phone.
MLLIAN: Miss vice president.
LITZAIN: Mllian, we're on the phone no need for formalities.
The president continues his work paying the remark no mind.
MLLIAN: It's good to see you are able enough to speak, is there a reason for said call?
A fax machine on the desk starts to spit out a paper with blueprints on it. The president looks over the fax, with his eyebrow shooting off his forehead.
MLLIAN: Archeological dig and oil wells?
LITZAIN: When me and commander Blechin were looking for labyrinths, his government found one a few miles from here that was built by the first god. I wasn't able to fully explore the labyrinth and the royal guards didn't fare too well either. So I need you to set up the funds for a dig to help discover the secrets of the structure. Oil deposits were also found, so when exploration is done the oil barons can ravage the region all they want.
MLLIAN: You could just go through congress, you don't need my direct permission. Hell you could've gone to the Americans for help, they would gladly help you for a percentage of the oil in the region.
LITZAIN: The Americans have told us they will not help us unless our nation is on the brink of collapse. Apparently their news networks found out about their involvement in the recent offensives in the frontier. Congress is still too untrusting of me as vice president, so if I gave them this plan they would've thrown a fit or put me under house arrest.
MLLIAN: Is the first gods place that important?
LITZAIN: It has all the information about all living creatures and the history of this world as the legends go.
Mllian leans back in his chair scratching his head.
MLLIAN: I'm gonna bring the oil part to congress, so we can get surveyors out there for drilling. If you can find concrete proof of the legend you so told, then I will put some funds aside for a dig, and convince congress to send equipment for said dig. How does that sound?
A frustrated sigh is heard from the other end.
LITZAIN: Come on Mllian, we're talking about untold amounts of knowledge buried miles from the capital. You can't stay idle.
The sudden shift in her tone throws Mllian off guard. She's planning something, and he doesn't like that one bit, but continues on.
MLLIAN: Litzain a long time ago during the birth of this republic, you said we need to do things the proper way. You strong arming me isn't the proper way, and not to mention the Yankees have probably tapped our lines. So if you say something that will concern them it might not go well for you. I'm telling you this not as the president but as your friend.
Litzain takes a while to respond
MLLIAN: Litzain?
The phone hangs up. The president places his phone back into the receiver. He racks his brain on her weird behavior. He surveils his office deep in thought, before coming upon a photo of the first convening of congress. In the photo the senators and representatives pose in their seats to the American photographer. Along with the Royal Guard standing side by side with the Kurzen Guard, flanking the members at full attention. It dawns on him on what she's planning, with the final piece being his cooperation. With much debating with himself, he decides to cooperate. He presses a button on the phones receiver, with a dial tone following shortly after.
