DINGO: We're getting overrun, these things are everywhere!!!

ODIN: Copy Dingo, evacuate your men back to the docks, and help with the evacuation of civilians.

Dingo's reply comes back garbled and then cuts off.

ODIN2: All communications from ground forces in Mato have stopped, naval communications are still up though.

ODIN1: Shit.

The control room buzzes, as the situation in Mato worsens.

BRIGGS: Give me all the information on what we're facing.

The screen pulls up blurred photos of robotic creatures, in the burning ruins of Tokyo.

ODIN: The rogue NATO forces have dropped thousands of modified Human Federation MK78 construction robots over Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and some have made their way to San Francisco.

BRIGGS: Modified in what way?

ODIN: The MK78 isn't intended for combat, but the rogue forces modified them with a flamethrower located within the mouth, and a mortar located on the back, they also upped the punching force on the robot. They replaced the main steel frame and shell, with element 293.

BRIGGS: The same material we use to reinforce a ship's hull.

ODIN: Because of this the robots are impervious to anything below 20mm, and they deployed so many that the armored forces were overwhelmed.

Briggs Moves away from the command table, and looks out of the bridge at the rising smoke coming from Tokyo.

BRIGGS: How many civilians are left in Tokyo?

ODIN: Before we lost communications with ground forces, around 34,000.

Briggs continues to stare out at the smoke.

BRIGGS: I'm forgoing the chase with the enemy fleet and going back to Tokyo to aid with the evacuation, and provide the troops with naval support.

ODIN: Copy that, we'll have the 4th fleet ambush them than earlier planned.

Briggs moves to the front of the bridge, looking out at the two leading battleships.

BRIGGS: Tell the Iowa and New Jersey and half of the fleet to turn back to Tokyo.

OPERATOR: What of the rest of the fleet?

BRIGGS: We, Wisconsin, and the other half will continue the chase of the NATO fleet.

CAPTAIN WILSON: I thought you said we're forgoing the chase.

Briggs turns toward Wilson.

BRIGGS: That's what I originally planned, but I quickly realized the 4th fleet won't make it before the enemy realized we stopped chasing, and try to escape, so half the fleet will go back to Tokyo, while the other will keep up the chase to make sure the enemy doesn't escape before the 4th fleet can ambush them.

As the Missouri sails on, the muffled static screams of the ground forces ring out on the bridge, occasionally be drowned out by missile launches.

Tokyo, Japanese Empire.
