A couple of weeks go by and Maire looks at the calendar, the weather is nice, it is starting to get warmer, and the days grow longer, it is the middle of June when her eyes widen in shock, her birthday is in two days. She furrowed her brow, it'd be the first time she'd celebrated her birthday outside the facility in almost 7 years. Looking down she squeezed the broom handle tight, a sharp ringing entered her mind and for a moment she wasn't sure where she was.
The room grew dark, a feeling boiled into her veins as she processed what was going on. She absolutely despised her birthday, more than anything else on the planet, it was the only time she never wore a smile or showed her happy side. She used to love it when she was at home and her parents would make her breakfast, her friends gave her gifts and they celebrated but she was taken away and never allowed to see anyone on her birthday, no one cared.
In fact, the worst parts of her treatment were always on her birthday and soon this anger and anguish boiled past her body, her hands gripping the broom handle so hard it splintered and shattered. Angie then heard the cracks from the living room, Donna was currently finishing the last bit of Cassandra's cloak downstairs. The doll peeked into the kitchen and found her maid in a form of distress, part of the handle splinted into her hands as she muttered and shook with a look of fierce anger written on her face, the calendar was on the ground and June was almost ripped to shreds.
Angie got worried and went over to the elevator, hurrying over to Donna's workshop and finding her inside, "Donna... Donna... Something's wrong with Marie." She called, Donna turned when the beloved doll called for her worriedly. Donna got up and scooped her into her arms and hurried back upstairs, finding Marie in the kitchen still. Angie watched carefully, Donna seemed to notice the anger running through her lover's body, finding the calendar on the floor, and looking up at her lover.
"Marie... Are you okay?" Donna asked, gently touching the woman. "I... I'm fine." She said softly, her voice coming out as a whisper, trying not to hurt the dollmaker's feelings, "I just need a moment alone." She said, taking her sword from the mantel and going outside where she usually trained. Donna had made her a dummy so she could work on strikes and even helped her with marking her footing.
Marie swung her sword, anger, and aggression behind the entire swing, slashing the thick leather and wool a bit. "How dare it come so fast." She growled letting another swing go. Her strength was becoming petrifying, the dollmaker could tell when they got rough, however, Marie was always gentle with her and never tried to hurt her. Marie didn't seem to notice as she swung her sword into a tree and it got stuck, she kept away from the dummy until she calmed a bit.
"God dammit..." She growled, grabbing the sword and ripping it from the bark. She sighed when she found no damage and sat on a tree stump, cleaning the steps and looking down at a wood block, "You'd be perfect for something for Donna..." She whispered, she started to carve into it, working with curves and such. It was afternoon so she didn't have much trouble getting through the summer sun, her clothing was now lighter. With shorts and T-shirts that Donna made her.
Simple designs and lighter colors kept the sun off her back as she worked with the flowers and garden, she even cleaned up the shed, straightening it out and fixing it up a bit. Marie sighed as she finished the wooden heart she had made, smiling when she thought about sanding it down and staining it a lighter color, giving it to Donna.
As she admired the heart she didn't realize what was going on around her until it was too late, her mouth was covered quickly as she was grabbed and blindfolded, dropping her sword, the tools, and the wooden heart. "You didn't think I'd forget what you did to my Lycans... Did ya?" The voice growled behind her, her eyes widened and she thrashed, a muffled voice rang through the air but no one could hear her as she was dragged from the Benevientos state.
