As the weeks went on, Donna realized that Marie wasn't getting any better with distancing herself, and she even once followed her to the bathroom. Not realizing she had, she quickly turned for the library instead.

Donna sighed; Miranda was standing over her. "Anything on your mind?" the priestess asked. They had locked the door to the lab in Donna's basement because Marie sometimes walked in, checked on her wife, and left. Miranda noticed she was doing it by instinct but never said anything.

Donna looked up at her. "I'm worried. What happens if I'm not pregnant?" she asked. Miranda shook her head. "I'm sure you are. Marie wouldn't be this headstrong about protecting you, and her instincts would not be so keen on you. From the way your belly is slightly bloated, I think you are." Donna sighed and looked down. She had noticed the slight difference when she looked in the mirror today.

Her usually toned and flat stomach was slightly bloated; thinking it was something she ate, she didn't know about it. "Any morning sickness or nauseous feelings?" Donna shook her head, "No." "Good." Miranda hummed, "Do try to keep from crying out. Marie doesn't need a new reason to bust the door down." Donna nodded and relaxed when she felt the needle sink into the crook of her arm, drawing blood and pulling back.

"Good. Next, I'm going to need your legs wide." Donna nodded and closed her eyes, spreading her legs so Miranda could get the samples needed, "Deep breath. This will be cold." Donna gasped at a cold spray between her backside and front. "I know that sucks," Miranda whispered as she rapidly tapped between Donna's Naval and pelvic bone.

"Did you do what I told you? Drink two cups of water an hour before I showed up?" Donna nodded. "Yeah." Miranda stopped and looked at the dollmaker on the table, "Alright, any feeling?" Donna shook her head. "This may feel weird considering I'm your mother." Miranda stated, "But I'm trying to get one last sample from you before I can start the tests."

Miranda placed a gloved hand on Donna's thigh and gently rubbed it; she backed up and went over to the sink. Turning the tap on, she grabbed a cup and filled it with warm water before leaving it on; grabbing one of Donna's hands, she laid a hand in the cup, "What are you trying to do?" Donna asked, confused. "I need a urination sample." "Why didn't you say so?" Miranda looked at her. "Because I wasn't sure if you needed to go." Donna sat up and took her hands out of the cup, "Then just ask; I drank all that water over an hour ago. Of course, I need to go."

She got up and slipped her dress on. Miranda handed her a sample cup, and the dollmaker disappeared into a room attached to the lab, away from Marie, so as not to give her mate false hope. Miranda sighed as she started the blood tests, working with what she had brought. The results would take longer, but it was better than trusting some stick Donna would urinate on.

Donna came back with her cup. Miranda took it with a gloved hand and started working on the samples. After getting what she needed to be done, she threw the gloves away and sighed, "What's next?" Donna asked, "Your wife has been outside the door for the entire hour we've been down here." Miranda said as she cleaned up and threw away what they didn't need in the bioactive white trashcan.

The dollmaker and priestess went upstairs, where Donna was immediately wrapped in two solid but gentle arms. Marie's tail wagged harshly, causing Angie to duck as she was almost swiped through the hallway. Miranda chuckled when Marie latched onto the dollmaker, "Oof... Marie, it was only an hour." Donna gently ran her fingers through the woman's hair and kissed her head.

"I just missed you and worried about you getting hurt." Miranda chuckles and shakes her head. "You have an hour before the test results come in. What would you like to do?" She says softly, "Can we play a game?" "A safe game," Marie says softly, pulling Donna close. "What game, Angie?"
