The week crawls by as Donna and Marie tend to Claudia's needs. As the weekend approaches, Donna grabs her receiver and calls Alcina. "Donna, good to hear from you, dear. How's the baby?" "Claudia is good. I was wondering if we could have a tea party at your house. I could bring Claudia, and Angie has been wanting to see the girls."
Alcina smiled and tilted her head, and hummed, "Yeah, that's a possibility. I will have a room set up for you, Angie, and little Claudia." The vampress smiled, hearing Claudia in the background as she babbled. Donna smiled at her daughter on the blanket, supervising her during tummy time and making sure she was safe.
"Thank you, Alcina, I will make sure all of us are there." Donna hung up and smiled. She tilted her head as Claudia rolled onto her back and struggled to roll back onto her tummy, beginning to get frustrated, she fussed about it. Donna cooed and scooped her into her arms before grabbing the blanket and taking her into the workroom, where she set her in the playpen with the blanket.
Donna worked on the blankets she was making while keeping an eye on her daughter. Listening to her babble and constant little noises she felt her chest tighten and she sighed, getting up she picked Claudia up and embraced her gently, kissing her head before taking her to the elevator and going upstairs.
She took her to the nursery and laid her on the changing table, where she was changed and dressed. Donna smiled and kissed her head, then went to the rocking chair in the corner and gently rocked on her heels and back, kissing Claudia's cheek while her eyes traveled around the room before meeting hers.
A big smile appeared on the little one's face when she saw her mommy. Donna held her close as they snuggled in the rocking chair until Marie came home. Donna heard her wife's voice and smiled, "There is your mama. She has been gone all day long." Donna said gently, looking up at the footsteps that rang across the gently warm and quiet house.
Marie smiled at seeing her wife and daughter in the rocking chair. Walking over to both of them, she kissed both of them before cooing as Claudia was a bit fussy. "Alright, I will go make dinner," Donna says as she passes Claudia to Marie, who smiles and takes her downstairs, lying on the couch with her, keeping her safe.
Claudia was on her tummy, and Marie kept an arm as a railing next to the infant to keep her safe. She would talk to her and rub her cheek gently to catch her attention. Marie smiled at the infant and hummed "Donna." She called, and Donna came into the room holding a towel. "Yeah?" "Her eyes are changing slightly." Donna came over and drew Claudia's attention to a darker blue than the regular one.
"Oh, they are. I wonder what colors they will be." She says softly, and Marie smiles, "I hope it's a dark brown and light blue." Donna smiles and kisses her daughter's head, giving them both a wobbly smile and a giggle that melts both women's hearts.
Donna goes back to the kitchen to continue dinner and remembers to tell Marie the news: "Oh, we are going to Alcina's for a tea party this weekend before it gets cold and the girls can't go outside." "Okay, that should be fun," Marie says as she carries Claudia to the kitchen and retrieves an already warmed bottle that Donna had prepared.
She sat at the dinner table while feeding Claudia and talking to her, "This is the dining room, where we eat, so you'll drink your milk in here and you can get used to all the colors and looks of things." Marie says as she gently feeds her, kissing her head and holding the bottle up for her. Praising her gently as she finished the bottle, and taking her to the living room, she had a burp towel over her shoulder and patted her back.
Donna called for dinner as Marie tucked her daughter into her crib and kissed her head. They both kept quiet during dinner, dessert, and clean up. Switching roles, Marie read to the dolls, dusted them off, and gave them a hug and a kiss before they all returned to their spots for the night, while the doll maker took care of Claudia. Angie followed them downstairs, keeping quiet as she nestled herself tiredly into Marie, who kissed Angie's head as they walked into their bedroom—getting ready for bed and falling asleep.
