"So we are supposed to meet them where?" Marie buttoned her jacket as she smiled, Donna had made her a special shirt that went with it, slipping the dress she made, Donna sighed while buttoning the back and fixing the sleeves a bit "At the castle, not only does the town hold massive celebrations but they also hold a feast in the castle."
Marie hummed and thought about it, "Everyone will be there!" Angie giggled and wiggled back and forth. She too was bathed, her dress was clean, and the small family of three had contributed and made a huge batch of Mushroom Crostinis, an Italian tradition that Donna had found the recipe for when they were cleaning up the office, Marie held a basket of fresh fruits that were already cut.
After getting dressed, Donna grabbed her veil, held onto Angie and Marie held onto the food as they made it to the carriage Alcina ordered over to pick them up and drop them off.
They arrived at the castle and sighed, Donna held onto the baskets and Marie walked her through the cold dreary day. The doors opened slowly and Ingrid smiled at both the women, dressed in something more formal than her regular uniform. "Lady Donna and Lady Marie, welcome to the Thanksgiving tradition. Of course to as well Lady Angie."
The woman stepped the side and the two lords stepped through, removing their muddy shoes and slipping on something much cleaner, a pair of heels for Donna and combat boots for Marie. Angie flew in and immediately started causing trouble, a maiden took the basket from Donna's hands and smiled as they made their way into the dining area.
"Ah Donna, I wasn't sure you'd make it." Alcina smiled as Karl walked through the door with his hammer, "Sup kid?" He smirked as he walked by Marie who stood tall beside Donna, sitting in his place and smirking at the growling women beside him, "I thought I told you not to come." Alcina growled, "It's not Thanksgiving without everyone." Karl chimed, "Everyone does not include a metal-brained, low-life, dog licker such as yourself." Alcina fought back.
They argued for a bit until Miranda stepped through the door, following close behind was Marou. "Get in the fishbowl," Miranda ordered, he listened and sat down in a glass container with a bath and shower, Miranda smirked as she was greeted and had a chair pulled out for her.
"Alright. Donna, Marie, please make yourselves comfortable I know this is one of the first ones you've both been to, Donna for you it's been a while but we have changed a couple of things. Marie and you brought some form of meal correct?" "Yes Mother Miranda, we brought Mushroom Crostinis and fruit." Donna bowed her head as she spoke with most of the eyes on her.
"Sticking to family tradition, your mother would have loved it. Alcina thank you for letting not only us but the entire village spend Thanksgiving here." Miranda leaned back, "You're extremely welcome Mother Miranda."
The daughters swarmed in with their maids, Daniela smiled as hers had shown numerous hickeys and love bites all over her neck, Belas was proper and held her head high, wearing a deep red dress and choker to signify who she belonged to, and last was Cassandra and her maiden, the matching raven haired women were both quiet as they entered the room, the maiden wore a long sleeved black dress that reached down to her ankles, combat boots and her hair was pulled into a braided ponytail.
"Cass I thought she wasn't allowed long sleeves?" Daniela asked, "For tonight. I already checked her and everything, she's okay." The matriarch snapped and another personal maid stepped up, dressed in a brown and gold dress with platform boots.
"My name is Willow, I will be you and Lady Beneviento's maid for the dinner and the rest of tonight. Are there any requests?" She asked, Donna shook her head, and Marie sighed "Glass of whiskey." She said softly, the maid bowed and walked off getting the request. Conversation started slow, not much was said between the lords and daughters but from the outside, they could hear the entire village enjoying conversation based on whatever they could.
