The storm continued for the next few days, causing Miranda to stay at the Benevientos for longer than expected.
Marie and Angie were on the floor coloring as Donna and Miranda were downstairs, getting a few things done for the tests and experiments. They were set to find out the timing and strain on Donna's body.
Testing her height, weight, what time of the month it was for her, and what Donna needed to do differently if they needed to run some new tests next week if she needed to eat just a bit more, or if her body was ready to even have a child.
"Will Donna be okay?" Angie asked as she set the colored pencil down and grabbed a pink one, Marie laid on her stomach as she colored the background for a tiger drinking water, grabbed a purple pencil, and started on the tiger. "I know she will be Angie. I have trust in Donna and Miranda to get everything right and ready."
Angie nods and looks up at her "But they have been down there all day. What are they doing?" Marie sighs, not exactly sure how to explain it to Angie without freaking her out, even Marie was nervous when she heard all the tests and experiments that Miranda would run on her wife.
"Eh... I'm not sure how to explain it Angie but it's just a series of stuff to make sure Donna is going to be able to go through 9 months, not to mention to make sure we can have a high chance to have the baby."
Angie looks up and sighs "So they are working to push the percentage of losing the baby lower?" Marie looks at the little doll and she nods, "Yeah. They are."
As Marie grabbed a pink pencil they heard the bell of the elevator and Angie got up, running over to her owner. Donna sighed and scooped the little doll up and walked her way to the living room. She sat the veil down on the side table and let out a soft sigh, her eye sparkled slightly.
"How did it go?" Marie asked and Donna placed her hand on the doll on her lap "Angie why don't you go play upstairs for a bit." Angie hugged her owners before rushing upstairs and shutting the door to her playroom. The bell for the elevator rang and Donna relaxed, a little relieved that she didn't have to tell Marie the big news.
Miranda entered the room and sat down "So, the verdict is in, and in about 6 weeks I will be back to check and see if it worked. Donna, have you told Marie?" "I was about to before you came in." The priestess nodded and swallowed "We went for it. Everything was perfect, she didn't need any adjustments on her body, she was at the right time in the month and so... I slipped her anesthesia, and she felt no pain during the procedure."
Marie's eyes widened and her breath stopped, her heartbeat going rapid as she processed the words. "So... in 6 weeks..." She breathed as she was still in shock, Miranda nodded "Yes, in 6 weeks we should be able to find out if the time and effort I put into not only your blood cells and a couple of extra adjustments was worth it."
Donna's hands shook slightly "What if my body didn't take it?" "Then we will try again and again until it does." Miranda said, "However with as strong as the samples I have from both of your discharges and a couple of sperm samples I have added to each of them. You should take just fine."
Marie kissed Donna and smiled "It'll be okay, it'll be a long 6 weeks but I hope this works out for us." Donna nods and lays her head on Marie's chest. "Now as for this storm.." Miranda grumbled, "I need it to let up." She finished as they looked outside.
Marie got up with a soft peck to Donna's head she went into the kitchen and made tea, her hands shaking slightly from the news. Miranda came in as Donna made her way upstairs to talk to Angie about the situation.
"You're almost trembling. Is that with fear or anticipation?" The blonde woman looked at her lord as she watched her. Marie leaned over the stove, making tea for everyone while she focused on one thing at a time. "I'm... nervous." She whispered "What would happen if it takes but... we lose it? What happens to Donna's body? Will it hurt her? I don't want to watch my wife cry and ble-"
