Gaming Night (pt 2)

"No way. How? That- that. This is-"

"That's a karaoke machine!! And an old one. Where did you find this Kiba?"

"In the attic. I found it when you were playing against Issei. It took me a while to clean it up."

My right arm has recovered a little after the arm wrestling. There's still pain, but nothing I couldn't endure.

I lightly tapped the machine.

*Tok*Tok*

"Whoa, the outside is made of real wood. *sniff* it smells like a cypress wood. This thing is an antique, is it even working?"

"I already tested it, I just need to plug it into the socket."

"Then, I take it you want to challenge me to a singing contest."

Kiba handed me a mic. I'll take that as a yes.

"Not to brag, but I'm also quite good at singing. Some of my clients ask me to sing for them."

I took the mic and pointed it at him.

"No more holding back. Give me everything you've got Kiba."

"Yeah, I will. I will make sure to defeat you thoroughly, even if it's in singing."

His expression is different from this afternoon. I can feel his determination and his easy-going attitude are gone.

"Nice, I like those eyes."

Kiba left to connect the karaoke machine to the TV.

"When was the last time you sang in front of people?"

I looked to my left and found Kurumi holding a tambourin.

Someone is excited.

"Been a while. But don't worry, I still keep training every day."

"In the bathroom?"

"In the bathroom, of course. Where else?"

"Ever heard of Karaoke box?"

"Pfft, everyone knows that karaoke box is a place to have sex."

Kurumi smacked me hard on my head.

"Don't tell me you actually did it with one of the girls from Ad Astra!"

"No, no. Of course not. I mean, no one has asked me yet. But, I'm open to invitation."

She shook her head in frustration.

"Seriously, don't. Unless you want to face Patrona's wrath."

"....Yeah, it's not worth it. She's terrifying."

I fear nothing, but that woman. She scares me a lot.

While thinking, I heard Kiba call me that the machine was ready.
