Zeldris POV

I was staring at the night sky full of stars when (Y/N) abruptly rose up and sweetly whispered, "Let's go back, Zeldris." I paused for a second, mesmerized by the splendor of the celestial show above us. However, her gentle voice brought me back to reality. "Umm, (Y/N) sorry, but I have to go home for now; I'm not going to sleep over at your place again, now that I know my way home." I gently declined her offer, feeling a mix of guilt and longing. "Instead, I'll walk you home, since I can't let a lady walk alone at night," I continued softly, a slight smile tugging at the corners of my lips. She looked at me, her eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and gratitude. "Umm, alright, young man," she said, then giggled as I realized she was teasing me. We began the walk in silence, the cool night air wrapping around us. It was during this quiet stroll that I realized how much I cherished these moments with her. As we reached her cabin, she turned to face me, her expression now filled with a hint of hesitation. "Thank you," she said, her voice filled with sincerity. I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. "Anytime," I replied, my heart skipping a beat. And with that, I watched her disappear into her house, knowing deep down that this was just the beginning of something beautiful. I continue to savor the peace and stunning beauty of the surrounding nature as I make my way back to the demon clan. The sounds of birds chirping and the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind filled the air, enhancing the peacefulness of the moment. I couldn't help but replay our conversation in my mind, the way her eyes sparkled, and the way her laughter echoed through the woods. Each step I took brought me closer to the realization that she had captured a piece of my heart, and I couldn't wait to see where this newfound connection would take us.

(Y/n)'s POV

Once I entered my house, I carefully closed and secured the door behind me.

As I entered my room and laid down in bed, my thoughts about Zeldris filled my mind, causing me to toss and turn constantly. I suddenly stopped and thought to myself, 'Come one (Y/N), get a grip on yourself; it's only been a night and a day since I've known him,' as I slapped my cheek, bringing myself back to reality. 'But, honestly, did he know my identity? And that's why he came back? Or is he a vampire's servant entrusted with keeping an eye on me? So, where did he come from?' These questions kept swirling in my head, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Anyway, I shouldn't expect him to come by again since I don't like to interact with the others. Still, I'm grateful for the moment I spent with him. Then, if he comes by tomorrow, I'll just chase him away.

So, I have to keep my guard up and stay alert. If this man is indeed connected to the vampire, I need to be cautious and not let my guard down. It's been years since my father's death, but the pain and anger still linger within me. I will not rest until I find the vampire and seek justice for my father. Until then, I must remain vigilant and trust no one, not even this mysterious man who has suddenly reappeared in my life.

The next day, as I was doing my chores, Zeldris came excitedly. "(Y/n)!" he shouted from afar. "Stay right there! Don't get any closer!" I shouted back. My heart raced as I watched him approach, unsure of his intentions. Memories of betrayal and deceit flooded my mind, reminding me of the importance of staying on guard. As he drew nearer, I clenched my fists, ready to defend myself if necessary. "I said stop!" I once again shouted. As he finally stopped in his tracks, I could see the desperation in his eyes. "Why all of a sudden?" he asked confusedly. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing thoughts. "Just go back already," I replied firmly, my heart still pounding with adrenaline. I needed space and time to process since it was too soon to trust him. "Alright," he replied softly. "Then, I'll come back another time, (Y/n)~!" he continued playfully as he ran off into the distance, leaving me standing there, conflicted and unsure of what to do next. As I watched him disappear, a mix of relief and sadness washed over me, knowing that this was just the beginning of a long journey towards healing and rebuilding trust.
