Zeldris POV
Instead of returning home, I was making my way to my training session with Meliodas and Gelda. They were engaged in practicing combat as I approached them, but when Meliodas noticed me, they abruptly halted. "Yo, my dear little brother Zeldris, you're late," my brother Meliodas exclaimed joyfully. Meliodas is my older brother, whom I looked up to. Gelda is one of the vampires and also our mentor. "Then I'm sorry for being late," I replied, slightly out of breath and continued "I had a meeting with someone important, and I couldn't leave until it was finished." Meliodas exchanged a knowing look with Gelda before speaking again. "Well, who could be this SOMEONE IMPORTANT? Huh?" Meliodas teased, raising an eyebrow playfully. I chuckled, knowing exactly what he was insinuating. "Oh, just someone who is really important that I can't say to you right now," I said, maintaining a playful tone. "Don't tell me that someone important is that human!" Gelda exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. Meliodas and I exchanged a glance, a silent understanding passing between us. "What do you mean by your words, THAT HUMAN?" I asked curiously, trying to hide my growing concern. "Umm, since I can't hide anything from you, it was because I've been wondering why you're leaving right after practice. So, I followed you through the forest and saw you meeting with a mysterious figure. I couldn't help but be curious about who it was and why they seemed so important to you." Gelda's voice trailed off, her gaze shifting nervously. Meliodas and I exchanged another glance, silently acknowledging the weight of her discovery. "Why can't it be me? Since I'm here with you all the time, shouldn't I be the one you trust and confide in? And also, I am much stronger compared to that human; answer me, Zeldris," Gelda demanded, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and longing. I sighed and looked at her. "Gelda, it's not about strength or trust," I replied gently. "There are things I must handle alone, for the sake of our safety and the greater good." Gelda's expression softened, understanding flickering in her eyes as she nodded slowly. "I just wish you would let me in sometimes," she whispered, her voice barely audible. I looked at Meliodas, and he looked away while whistling innocently. It was clear that he too understood the gravity of the situation. His avoidance of eye contact revealed his guilt, leaving me with a sense of unease. "Anyway, Father has called for you," Meliodas finally said, his voice tinged with nervousness. "He seemed quite serious this time." I nodded, acknowledging Meliodas' words and the underlying tension in his voice. As I made my way towards Father, a heavy silence hung in the air, amplifying my growing unease. It was evident that whatever awaited me was of utmost importance and would demand my full attention.
Once I arrived at the presence of my father the Demon King he said, "I have heard that you seek out to meet the human girl every time you finish your training." When I heard those words from my father, I felt uneasy. I knew that my secret rendezvous with the human girl could potentially threaten the delicate balance between our worlds. However, the unexplainable connection we shared made it impossible for me to resist her presence. "What makes you say that?" I asked angrily of him. The Demon King's eyes narrowed as he responded, "Word travels fast in our realm, my son. Your actions have not gone unnoticed, and they have consequences that extend beyond just the two of you."
Then Gelda arrived unexpectedly, her presence adding to the tension in the room. As a powerful sorceress and trusted advisor to the Demon King, her arrival signaled that the situation was more dire than I had initially realized. Her piercing gaze met mine, conveying in silence her disapproval and worry for the possible consequences of my forbidden relationship with (Y/n), the human girl. The forbidden relationship between (Y/n) and me had the potential to disrupt the delicate balance between the demon realm and the human world, risking dire consequences for both realms. The Demon King looked at Gelda and stated, "Well, it was because of that vampire; she told me that you've been secretly meeting with that human girl." So, I snarled at Gelda and warned her to stay out of my affairs. Gelda recoiled, clearly taken aback by my harsh response. The truth was, I was furious with myself for allowing this forbidden connection to develop into something so dangerous. But my love for (Y/n) was undeniable, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing her.
As I glared at Gelda, I made a silent vow to protect (Y/n) at all costs, even if it meant challenging the Demon King himself. "I couldn't bear my son falling in love with a human girl," my father threatened me with a menacing tone. But I refused to back down. Despite being the Crown Prince of the Demon Realm, I had never questioned my father's authority until now. (Y/n) had changed everything for me, showing me a side of myself I never thought existed. I knew that defying my father would come at a great cost, but the thought of living a life without (Y/n) was far too unbearable. I would fight tooth and nail to protect my love, even if it meant defying the very foundation of my existence.
I turned my back to him, but he suddenly said in a menacing tone, "I order you, Zeldris, to kill that human girl." My heart raced as his words hung in the air. The weight of his command was suffocating, but I couldn't ignore the fire burning within me. Defiance surged through my veins as I mustered the courage to respond, "I refuse, Father. I won't let you dictate who I love or what I do with my life." My father's eyes narrowed, his anger evident in the twitch of his jaw. "You dare defy me, boy?" he sneered, his voice dripping with venom. I stood tall, refusing to cower under his gaze. "I am not a boy anymore, Father," I declared, my voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through my veins. "I am my own person, with my own desires and choices. And I choose her." The room fell silent, the tension thick and palpable. My father's face contorted with rage. "Very well. Then Gelda, kill that human girl for me, or should I say for your sake?" My father's voice trailed off into a sinister whisper.
Gelda, our mentor, I could see in her eyes that she's willing to do it. "I gladly accept, Demon King," she replied, her voice filled with a chilling determination. "Consider it done." With those words, Gelda's loyalty to my father became clear. "Don't touch a single strand of her hair!" I exclaimed angrily, my own rage boiling over and I continued, "If you lay a finger on her, I will do whatever it takes to stop you." Gelda's cold eyes met mine, a glimmer of amusement dancing in them. "You underestimate the darkness within me, young prince," she sneered. "But rest assured, I will make her suffer in ways you cannot begin to imagine." My heart sank as I realized the true extent of Gelda's loyalty to my father and the dangerous game I had just stepped into. "Then pardon me, Demon King, as I'll set out to find that human girl," Gelda continued with a wicked smile. "And when I do, she will beg for mercy, but none shall be given. Prepare yourself, young prince, for you have just unleashed a force that will consume everything you hold dear." With those chilling words, Gelda turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving me filled with a sense of dread and determination to protect the girl at all costs.
As Gelda vanished, I could feel the weight of her threat settling heavily on my shoulders. The gravity of the situation sank in as I realized the magnitude of the danger that awaited us. I immediately leave the demon clan to chase after Gelda, who seeks out the whereabouts of (Y/n) and to kill her once and for all. The thought of losing (Y/n), the person who means everything to me, fueled my determination even further. I knew that I had to find Gelda before she could harm her dark intentions and ensure (Y/n)'s safety. With each step, my resolve grew stronger, ready to face any obstacle that stood in my way, even if it meant risking my own life. Finally, I found myself standing before Gelda, her eyes brimming with a mix of anger, pain, and desperation. Her presence alone sent shivers down my spine, but I couldn't let fear overcome me. I had to confront her head-on and put an end to her reign of terror once and for all. As I locked eyes with Gelda, a surge of determination coursed through my veins, knowing that the fate of (Y/n) rested on the outcome of this battle. "Gelda, I understand your feelings, but my heart is already consumed by (Y/n). I cannot replace them, nor could anyone else," I said, hoping that my sincerity would reach her misguided soul. Gelda's eyes narrowed, her grip on her weapon tightening. She scoffed, a bitter laugh escaping her lips. "You think you can save (Y/n) from me? You underestimate the power of my love," she sneered, readying herself for the fight that would decide everything.
Gelda charged towards me, her determination fueled by an intensifying rage. As we clashed swords, I could feel the immense strength behind each of her strikes, but I knew that I had to fight for (Y/n) with all my might. The battle raged on, the air filled with the sound of clashing metal, and the outcome of this fierce duel would not only determine the victor but also the fate of (Y/n)'s heart. I never knew that Gelda, our mentor, had this kind of side to her. Her transformation into a formidable opponent surprised me, but it only fueled my determination to protect (Y/n) even more. With every swing of our swords, I could see the conflict in Gelda's eyes, torn between her loyalty and her newfound rage.
Summoning the power within me, I created a seal, encasing Gelda in an ethereal prison. It wasn't a decision made lightly, but it was necessary to keep safe (Y/n) from her intentions. As the seal closed around her, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow. I had once considered Gelda a trusted ally, and seeing her trapped like this was a painful reminder of the darkness that can consume even the strongest of bonds. However, my duty to protect (Y/n) outweighed any personal feelings, and I knew I had made the right choice. With a heavy heart, I turned away from Gelda, determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead in order to keep (Y/n) safe.
