Zeldris POV

I was carrying (Y/n) in bridal style as we stood on the ground, and everyone was gathered around us, cheering and clapping their hands in celebration. I saw my brother, Meliodas, grinning from ear to ear, his eyes shining with pride. "We're back; sorry if it took so long," I said, giving Meliodas a sheepish smile. He waved off my apology, his excitement evident in his voice. "No need to apologize, brother! The important thing is that you're here, and you've brought (Y/n) back safely." The warmth in his words filled my heart with gratitude, and I couldn't help but feel overcome with joy as we were surrounded by our loved ones, united once again. (Y/n) tapped my chest, as if she wanted to stand on the ground. I chuckled at her and gently set her down. Then suddenly someone embraced (Y/n), causing them to fall to the ground. I saw that it was a guy, and I felt rage boiling inside me. How dare this stranger touch (Y/n) without permission! I quickly grabbed the collar of the man, pulling him away from her. My adrenaline surged as I stared into his startled eyes, my protective instincts taking over. "Keep your hands off to my love," I growled, my voice laced with anger. "Stop it, Zeldris; he's my brother," (Y/n) remarked as she got up to clean some dirt off her clothes. I stood there in shock, my anger dissipating instantly upon hearing her words. My confusion was evident as I glanced back and forth between them. "I am now a Pendragon, sister of Arthur himself," she continued. I looked at Arthur, and he had an uncomfortable expression on his face. "H-hi... Th-there," Arthur stuttered, waving to me awkwardly. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. (Y/n), my love, was now part of the royal family. It was a lot to take in, but I couldn't deny the swell of pride that filled my chest. I just tossed him back to the others. "Well, it seems like you've been born into a royal family," I teased while I looked at her. "Yes, it was," she softly replied, her voice filled with a mix of humility and excitement. "But don't let that change who I am or how I feel about you. You've always been my one true love, and nothing will ever change that." (Y/n)'s words melted my heart, and I reached out to hold her hand tightly, knowing that we would face the challenges of her new life together. Despite the uncertainty that lay ahead, our love would remain unbreakable, and that was all that mattered to me.

(Y/n)'s POV

As I stood there, holding Zeldris's hand, I could feel the warmth of his love wrapping around me like a cozy blanket. The cheers of our friends and family filled the air, but all I could focus on was the man beside me—my protector, my love.

"Zeldris," I said softly, glancing up at him. His dark hair fell slightly over his eyes, but I could see the intensity of his gaze as he watched me. "I never imagined I would be part of a royal family. It feels so surreal."

He squeezed my hand gently, his expression softening. "You deserve every bit of happiness, (Y/n). Being a Pendragon doesn't change who you are. You're still the same brave and kind person I fell in love with."

I smiled, feeling a flutter in my chest at his words. "Thank you for always believing in me. I'm still me, and I'll always choose you, no matter what."

Just then, Meliodas approached us, his playful grin returning. "So, does this mean I have to start calling you Princess (Y/n) now?" he teased, winking at me. Laughter erupted around us, and I couldn't help but join in, the lightness of the moment brightening my heart.

"Only if you want to get on my bad side, Meliodas," I shot back playfully, earning a chuckle from him.

Zeldris's protective nature was still evident, and I could see how he was still on guard, ready to defend me from any potential threats—even if they were just playful jokes. "Just remember, she's not just a princess; she's my love," he said, his voice steady and serious.

"Of course, of course!" Meliodas raised his hands in mock surrender. "I wouldn't dare to mess with Zeldris's love. You're safe with us, (Y/n)."

Days have passed since the incident, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves about my new life. I had always dreamed of adventure, but now I was stepping into a world of royal duties and expectations. I looked around at the familiar faces—friends and family who had supported me through thick and thin. They were my anchor.

"Are you ready for this?" Zeldris asked, his voice low and filled with concern. I could see the worry etched on his face, and it made my heart swell with affection.

"I am," I replied confidently, feeling the weight of his gaze. "As long as I have you by my side, I can face anything."

He smiled, the tension in his shoulders easing. "Then let's make this new adventure one to remember."

With that, we joined the festivities. Laughter and music filled the air as we danced and shared stories. I felt a sense of belonging, surrounded by those I loved. Even Arthur, the prince, seemed to relax as he joined in the celebrations, his awkwardness fading as he laughed with his friends.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over everything, Zeldris pulled me aside, away from the crowd. The gentle breeze rustled through my hair, and I looked up at him, curious.

"What's on your mind?" I asked, sensing the seriousness in his tone.

He took a deep breath, his eyes searching mine. "I just want you to know that no matter what challenges come our way, I will always be here for you. You're not alone in this. We'll navigate your new life together."

I felt tears prick at my eyes, overwhelmed by his unwavering support. "Thank you, Zeldris. I promise to always be by your side too. Together, we can face anything."

I leaned down, brushing his lips against mine in a tender kiss. It felt like a promise, a vow that we would always choose each other, no matter what the future held.

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that our love was a force that could conquer any challenge. The world around us may change, but our bond would remain unbreakable, and together, we would write our own fairy tale.

The peaceful days that I thought would last forever came to an end when a tragedy occurred.
