Everything you had predicted to happen also happened as you arrived at your apartment in Konpeki Plaza.

Hanako was the first to show up. Her face was pale, paler than it usually already was. Fear was burned into her eyes as she grabbed your face and wrapped her arms around you over and over again as if she needed to make sure you really were still alive.

She trembled as she made you repeat what she already knew about the incident at the Arasaka Tower. You left out that the two attackers were in your custody and on their way to Japan.

There was no reason to tell her. She was most likely to pass this information on to Saburo anyways. A snitch, so to say. Nothing that you cherished her for but she was still your sister and you loved her.

After she made you go back to bed, despite you assuring her you were fine, the hand not included, Yorinobu paid you a visit.

His face was grim as his gaze fell onto the bloody bandages. Not a word of resentment left his lips but it was written all over his face that he wanted to scold you.

You also didn't tell him about the attackers. Instead, you made him believe what you had suspected about them in the first place.

It had been their plan to kidnap you so they could get their hands on the relic.

A failed cause, so to say.

The entire time your brother made sure to have an eye on Takemura. He also allowed himself to gift him the most poisonous kinds of looks that a human was physically able to create.

Finally, as everyone had left, you let out a deep breath and fell back into the pillows.

Takemura's black jacket still hung loosely around your shoulders. He leaned forward to pull it away, assuming you were bothered by the blood soaked fabric.

But as his hand was at the height of your chest you grabbed it in a firm manner. Your eyes locked and a smile appeared on your lips.

"I'm glad you're here.", the smile on your lips widened.

He stared at you. Just stared.

How crystal white his eyes seemed to be. Almost a bit like the ones of a puppet. But there was more life in his. More hints of being unsure.

What was he thinking about?

You'd never find out because instead of offering an answer or an explanation, he came closer. At first you thought it was just your imagination.

But he really did. Until his face was so close that the tips of your noses brushed against each other.

"(Y/N).", his eyes were lowered, fixed onto your lips that were so close to him yet so far.

Unsure what he wanted, you swallowed but kept eye contact.

"What are you doing, Goro?", you felt foolish asking a question like that, but you also wanted an answer.

He closed the last bit of distance between the two of you. All of a sudden the taste of tea brushed over your lips. There was a hint of honey, sweet and sticky.

Struck by surprise, your eyes did not close.

Only as he pulled back did you realise what had happened.

It was a kiss. From Goro.

"You asked me what I wanted.", it surprised you to find out how soft he was able to speak, almost like he tried to make a poem out of every single one of his words. "This is what I want. I am sure of it now."

Dumbfounded, your hands reached up to wrap around his neck. And yet, you still hesitated.

"Want what?", you asked.

The corners of his lips twitched.

"You.", he leaned down to steal another kiss, only to leave a gap so small that it felt like teasing. "I want you, Arasaka-sama. No matter what it needs to protect you."

How you longed for the touch of his lips.

How had they felt the first time?

You couldn't remember. But you'd be able to find out again. For as many times as you wanted.

As his lips lay on yours once more, tender but also demanding, you realised that if you wanted to you'd be able to find out every day till your very last breath.

How excited that made you feel. Almost static.

Willingly, almost greedy, your arms wrapped around his neck to force him to stay bend over you while the warmth of his lips made your heart beat faster.

Was that relief your felt?

Or just plain happiness?

No matter the answer, you wanted more.

Driven by their own mind, your lips parted to allow him entrance into your mouth. But Goro was a calm man who took his time.

Slowly, almost unfairly teasing, he let the tip of his tongue wander over the surface of your lips and drew a pattern that made you long for more.

He tasted of all the things you loved, yet like something so entirely new. Your hands entangled in his hair, grabbed a few strands and held onto them.

The hair tie snapped on accident as you tugged on one strand of silver a little harder. You didn't mind as the mane of silver and black poured from his head and fell over his shoulders.

Plus, it wasn't really your fault since he had pushed his tongue into your mouth to get a better taste.

Heat chased through your head as your mind slipped and spiralled into desire. You could feel how your body warmed up below him.

All of a sudden he stood up straight, eyes still locked with yours, while his breath was heavy. Two buttons of his shirt were undone, just like he always wore it.

You didn't know why but in this moment, him hovering over you with his hair down, out of breath and visibly heated by this simple kiss, the sight made something between your legs twitch.

It was embarrassing just how quickly he managed to get a reaction from you. Although you did not seem to be the only one.

As your eyes wandered down on him, past the hint of chest that peaked through the two buttons, you caught a glimpse of a swell between his legs.

"I want this.", he repeated as he climbed into bed, right between your legs. "I need you."
