Confusion || Todoroki vs Bakugo x Reader

~Twelve~

Time went by and a few weeks later it was now the sports festival. You were all sitting in your waiting room when Todoroki declared that he would win over Midoriya and then you were called out to the stadium. You took note of how stressed Todoroki seemed and you assumed it was because of his father being here. The first game was an obstacle course between 11 classes.

You were all standing outside the gates and as soon as Midnight gave the signal, everyone started running and eventually got stuck in the gates.

As all the students tried to squeeze through the small gates, ice could be seen. Todoroki had frozen the ground along with the students to get a head start. Soon after you got past the frozen students with your shadows. Close behind you was Bakugo, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu and Aoyama who had all managed to escape the cluster of students.

In the middle of the course, robots from the entrance exams showed up. Todoroki and you had not seen these before since you got in through recommendations. You were heading towards them at full speed while the other students stopped in their tracks. You used a beam of light and the robot in front of you was incinerated and the rest covered in ice. You looked down from your shadows that carried you and saw it was Todoroki's doing. The robots soon fell, leaving more obstacles for the remaining students.

"That was Todoroki and Y/n from class 1A pulling ahead to an early lead with a devastating display!" Present mic announced in his microphone.

"Amazing! These are two we should watch! It almost seems unfair." He continued with flare.

"Their attacks were both offensive and defensive." Aizawa calmly commentated.

"No wonder they were let in on recommendations! They've never even been up against these robots before but they didn't stand a chance against their elite moves!"

As you continued ahead, you noticed even more how cold Todoroki was acting. You completely destroyed the robot while he had frozen them off balance on purpose, making it harder for the students behind you. You were still injured and covered in bandages but thanks to all the nurses, you were in pretty good shape. Principle Nezu did say you could join Aizawa and Present Mic as speakers but you declined. Mic would make it weird and make you comment on your classmates which you really didn't want to do. You took a quick glance behind yourself and saw a lot of class 1A had made it past and a couple of others from other classes.

"Despite her healing injuries class 1A rebel hero Ito Y/n is making it through quite well. But will she be able to get through this next obstacle with those wounds!"

'I'm so going to punch him after this..' You thought as you looked down into a deep darkness. The next obstacle was giant pillars standing in the middle of a deep cliff. Slim ropes were connecting each stone pillar. Todoroki was already skiing on the ropes as they turned to ice under him. Bakugo was using his explosions to fly across. You decided to simply make bridges of shadows between the pillars and ran on them and of course they were disappearing behind you as you went.

"And now the leader of the pack is easily getting through first!" Present Mic yelled as Todoroki finished. You were right behind him and Bakugo was behind you.

Todoroki quickly looked back at you two, looking frustrated but also determined to beat you no matter what.

"DAMMIT!" You hear Bakugo yelling behind you just as you reached the end.

A quick glance at him showed you he was blasting away in the air, focusing on you and Todoroki and he seemed pissed. After a bit more running you saw Todoroki stopping and could here Present Mic again.

"And now, we've quickly arrived at the final barrier! The reality here is... that it's a minefield! It's set up so you can tell where the mines are if you look carefully! So you have to exploit your eyes and legs! By the way, these landmines are for games, so they're not that powerful, but they're loud and flashy enough to make you wet your pants!" He screamed the last bit dramatically just as you arrived next to Todoroki.
