Bakugo was sitting quietly watching the news on the small tv screen. You stood next to him, watching as well.
"We must conclude that there is some kind of problem with the management at U.A. High. Even if my child wanted to become a hero, I could not possibly enroll-"
The screen went black at the sound of a click.
"I'm really grateful for all the publicity we've been getting. Hey, don't you agree.... Katsuki Bakugo." Shigaraki asked with a menacing tone.
You gave him a look that told him to be quiet. Bakugo was tied to a chair with straps and giant metal cuffs that covered his hands.
"I really don't understand... You haven't said a word since you got here. You scared?" Shigaraki turned to you with a grin on his face.
"No, not really." You replied.
Bakugo looked at you with concerned eyes as Shigaraki came closer. You gave him a small smile to help reassure him.
"What are you smiling about?!" Eiji yelled and slapped you across the face.
He grabbed your hair at the top of your head and pulled, forcing you to look at him.
"I spent all that time with dad, going through shit you wouldn't even dream of, and here you are, laughing?"
You were also tied up. Your hands covered in those same cuffs, attached to the ceiling. As soon as you all got there, Eiji didn't waste any time and started beating you. He was using you to get his anger and frustration out, and you let him out of guilt. Shigaraki was glad to join him.
"Looks like even your brother is pissed at you." Dabi laughed.
All of them were there, Toga, Twice, Kurogiri, Spinner, Big Sis Mag, Compressor, Shigaraki and Eiji.
"Stay out of it, bastard." You snapped at Dabi.
"No, he can say whatever he wants. You're the one who doesn't get to talk!" Eiji yelled at you once more.
He looked over at Shigaraki, signalling something. Shigaraki then approached you with an even bigger grin.
"Don't move, okay?" He smirked before placing is hand on your arm.
You felt your skin slowly turn to dust but you didn't make a sound. This seemed to upset both him and Eiji.
Meanwhile, Bakugo felt stuck, not because he was physically tied up, but because he couldn't do anything to help you. He had been told by you to not do anything and to let you handle it but it didn't feel right to him. All they had been doing was torture you and make him watch. He looked to the empty chair next to him, the chair that was meant for you.
"So, Y/n. Tell me why you left us that day." Eiji asked in a low tone.
"I didn't leave you-"
"Stop lying!" He yelled and punched you in the stomach.
"I'm not lying! You told me to leave! It was your idea to have me escape!" You yelled back.
Blood flowed from your head, down your face until it slowly dripped off of your chin, onto the floor. Your whole body was bruised and sore.
'What did father do to him? He must've altered Eiji's memories. He can't even remember what happened that night.'
You gave your brother a look of pity and guilt. It's not like you wanted to leave your brothers behind. You had no choice.
"If it was my idea I would remember! What's with the look on your face? Stop looking at me like that!" Eiji was out of his mind.
He kept hitting you in the stomach or over the head.
"Eiji, stop. I have an idea." Shigaraki spoke up.
Eiji looked over to him and waited for him to continue.
"Y/n, this will be your last chance to answer Eiji's questions truthfully, otherwise I've come up with a plan that will force you to tell us the truth." Shigaraki laughed manically.
Your gaze turned from a confused one to one of concern. He motioned for Eiji to ask you another question so he did.
"Where is Daichi? I haven't seen him since that night and father says he left with you."
Your heart sank. Daichi had stayed behind that night along with Eiji and if father was lying about it, it could only mean a three things. 1, they don't know where he is either. 2, your father knows but can't tell Eiji since Daichi might be getting tortured or, lastly, 3, Daichi is dead...
You were silent for a little too long which caused Shigaraki to grab your chin and lift it up.
"Go on, tell us where he is." He smirked, almost as if he knew you didn't know.
"I haven't seen him since that night." You spoke slowly and were hyper-focused on Shigaraki's every move.
You saw his eyes light up and shift towards Bakugo. He took a step forward and then it all clicked in your head.
'If I don't answer, he'll torture Bakugo to get me to talk.'
Panic slowly set in as Aizawa's words rang through your head once again. 'Protect them for us.' You couldn't let them know that Bakugo was your weakness but you also couldn't let Bakugo get hurt. It was either let him be tortured so they thought you didn't care or protect him and reveal him to be your weakness.
'Damn it...'
You sighed to yourself when Shigaraki was right in front of Bakugo. With one big blast the room was filled with a bright light. When the light slowly disappeared, your handcuffs were shattered on the ground. You grabbed Shigaraki with a glowing hand and pulled him away from Bakugo, burning his arm in the process. You stood in between Bakugo and the villains, with your back towards Bakugo who was looking up at you.
"You won't lay a finger on him." You firmly said to the group.
They were too busy squirming around to help Shigaraki off the floor.
"Y/n!" Bakugo whisper/yelled behind you.
"What?" You whispered back.
"Get me out of these chains and we can escape together!"
"It's too risky. Right now, I'm just trying to keep you safe."
"We'll both be safe if we're out of this place!"
"You don't have permission to fight and I can't give it to you."
Bakugo sighed after realizing you had a point. He knew he would just be in trouble if he fought and you would be too. His hands were tied, not just physically but figuratively too.
"KILL HER!!!" Shigaraki yelled in a crazed state as soon as he shuffled back to his feet.
You don't remember much from here. You were defending yourself while trying to keep Bakugo safe. You saw a lot of blue fire and big dark shadows. You could hear incoherent yelling from Bakugo and his face was the last thing you saw before falling to the ground as everything went black.
. . . . .
Todoroki was on his way to visit Midoriya in the hospital. Midoriya had been severely injured and had been in the hospital for a couple of days now. Just like Aizawa, Todoroki was extremely worried about you. He felt like he let you slip past him. He was so close to saving you but couldn't reach you in time. Apparently Midoriya felt the same. Almost the whole class stood next to Midoriya's hospital bed as he cried.
"All Might always told me there would be people beyond our reach. People we can't save even though we want to, which is why we have to save the people we can reach. I was so close to being able to save them. But my body wouldn't move, I couldn't save someone who was right in front of me and since I failed, they're gone." Watching Midoriya cry for you and Bakugo made Todoroki angrier.
He knew he wanted to save you. He should've already saved you from being abducted by them in the first place. He clenched his fists and teeth.
"Alright, then let's go get 'em." Kirishima said, catching everyone's attention.
