Confusion || Todoroki vs Bakugo x Reader

~Forty One~

"Those things..." Kota said as he tried to hide behind your head. 

You ignored him and focused on the noises. You got ready and got in a fighting stance. Shadows wrapped round Kota, attaching him to your back and leaving your hands free. 

A monster made of mud jumped out at you. You dodged to the side while your left hand lifted up and burned it with light. 

"Woah, that was fast!" Kota sounded impressed. 

"How'd you do that?" His eyes glimmered as he waited for your answer.

"It was either it or us, I chose us." 

"So you are a villain." The boy on your back said with anger and spoke as if he'd just came to a realization. 

"What? No, I'm not." You said with irritation.

"Then are you a hero?" The disgust in his voice grew as he said the word 'hero'.

"No, like I said, I'm neither. And what's with you? You realize if I was a villain, you'd be in danger. You're lucky I haven't decided yet." You scolded him while mumbling the last bit to yourself. 

"It's just... I don't like heroes. They're all stupid and dumb!" You could tell by his voice and choice of words that he had been through something. He didn't hate heroes, he hated someone for being a hero.

You continued walking through the trees, taking down mud monsters occasionally. 'I wonder how the rest of the class is doing. They're all strong so they should be able to make it. Plus if they all work together it should be fine.'

"I heard your parents were villains..." Kota suddenly asked after some silence. 

"Who told you that?" 

"Mandalay... She told me to be careful around you..." 

"Then what made you think kicking me was a good idea?" You chuckled a bit at the kid. 

"I just wanted to get away from you." He mumbled.

"Well, I'm nothing like my parents so no need to worry."

In a different part of the forest, your classmates struggled to keep up with all the mud monsters that surrounded them. 

"When will they stop?" Denki complained while hiding behind Kirishima.

"They just keep coming!" Sato yelled out. 

A giant monster stood in front of them. Todoroki froze it's legs, keeping it from moving while Iida and Bakugo destroyed it's arms. Midoriya finished it off with the last attack. The students were working together. They all had bruises and cuts scattered around their bodies. 

"You guys defeated that beast in an instant!" Sato was impressed. 

"You did it!" Sero complimented Todoroki. 

"You're amazing, Bakugo!" Kirishima turned to his best friend though he didn't look all that happy. He was usually annoyed but right now he seemed to be more so than normal.

"Where the hell is cupcake?" He grumbled.

"She fell down with us, didn't she?" Todoroki looked around for you.

"I thought it was weird that Iida helped you guys instead of her." Asui said nonchalantly.

"Hey!" Iida yelled.

"No, she would've been able to take it down all by herself!" Mina cheered. 

"But where is she?" Midoriya asked.
