I know, I know. You're going to ask me "Girl! It's 3 a.m., why are you walking your fine ass out to your car after your shift, ALONE?!?! and with headphones in? Girl, do you have a death wish or something?"

But see the problem is, I thought I was untouchable. The things that happened to other people, didn't happen to me. Not in real life it didn't. I just knew I was excluded because who would want to hurt me? One of the best trauma surgeons Tampa Fl has ever seen.

Hey, hey my colleague's words, not mine.

Yet here I was being held at gunpoint by an angry patient's family member I lost during surgery today.

"Sir please, I'm sorry." I pleaded for my life with my hands raised above my head, looking for the nearest exit or some help, just anything.

"My team and I did everything we could to save your grandmother, but there was extensive damage to her brain, and operating further would have caused furthermore damage!"

"You think I give a fuck about that nonsense bullshit you're talking about right now?" he questioned as he began to move closer to me, waving the gun around.

"My grandma is down there rotting in the fucking morgue as we speak, and you're sorry?!." He spoke with an evil, demented look in his eyes as he walked up closer. "YOU'RE FUCKING SORRY?!?!" he yelled as he inched closer raising the gun to my head. "Yeah bitch, you think you're sorry, but guess what you're about to be really sorry when I get done with you."

"What do you mean I'm going to be sorry when you get done with me?" I asked, but I feel like I probably should have kept my mouth closed.

"Sir, please believe me when I tell you we did all we could do to save your grandmother, I promise!"

"You know what, this conversation has been going on for far too long, and to tell you the truth I'm getting pretty bored with all of this. You took my family from me, and now I'm taking you from yours."

And that was all I heard before I heard a loud pop!
