In Tatsuya and (Y/n)'s room, Tatsuya, Leo, Mikihiko, Mizuki and Erika are talking about how he, Leo and Mikihiko were joining in the Monolith Code.

"Hey, Tatsuya...seriously?" Leo asked.

"I'll be calibrating your CAD." Tatsuya said, "Just accept it." He said, "No use of griping about something that's been decided." He said.

"Got it, Tatsuya." Mikihiko said.

"Whatever, I guess we're gonna have to kick some butt!" Leo said.

"Then let's plan our strategy for tomorrow." Tatsuya said, "Let's start with the formation." He said, "Leo, I want you on defense." He said.

"No problem!" Leo said, "But what exactly does a defence do?" Leo asked.

"You'll be protecting your own Monolith from enemy attacks." Tatsuya said, "Do you understand what you have to do in order to win the Monolith Code?" He asked.

"Uh...either knock out the other team or enter the code hidden inside the Monolith into the terminal, right?" Leo asked.

"Correct." Tatsuya said, "And in order to read that hidden code, you need to fire a Special Magic Sequence within a maximum range of ten meters at the Monolith." Tatsuya said.

"Meaning the defence's job is to keep the enemy from getting within the ten metre of the Monolith and to jam up the enemy so they can't read the code even if they do punch the special code into the Monolith." Leo said.

"Precisely." Tatsuya said.

"But how do we hold off the enemy?" Leo asked, "We can't use physical attacks, right?" He asked, "I mean I'm so bad at Remote Attack Spells, it's not even funny." He said.

Tatsuya leans down and pulled out something for Leo as he got up it was the weapon Leo was testing just a few nights ago. Tatsuya lays it on Leo's lap.

"I'm thinking of using this." Tatsuya said, "Direct attacks without the use of magic are off limits but using a spell to hurl a mass at the enemy wouldn't be a violation." He said, "Next I'd like you to handle guerrilla tactics, Mikihiko." He said.

"Guerrilla?" Mikihiko asked.

"Your job is to handle the offence and defence." Tatsuya said.

"Tatsuya...you said it yourself, didn't you?" Mikihiko asked, "That me...the Yoshida family's magic spells are too convulated and therefore, I can't wield the magic the way I want it to..." Mikihiko said.

"Yes." Tatsuya said.

"I admit that my spell that day was camouflaged to obscure the true nature of the spell." Mikihiko said, "But I think that's probably what led to those redundancies you pointed out." He said.

"Back when lengthy incantations were necessary such tactics would have been effective." Tatsuya said, "But not so much for modern-day magic which has been accelerated by the use of CADs." He said.

"I get it now, Ancient Magic is more powerful in terms of potency and has no chance against modern-day magic." Mikihiko said.

"That's where you're wrong, Mikihiko." Tatsuya said, "Going head-to-head, modern-day magic, with it's vastly superior activation speed, has the edge but that's it." He said, "Yet in terms of extrasensory surprise attacks, the powerful and stealthy Ancient Magic would surely have the upper hand." He said, "The Elder, Mr. Kudou said so himself, how you use it is the key." He said, "I recommended you because I thought your Ancient Magic ambushing skills will be powerful weapon for us." He said.
