{The next day}

Their alarm started blaring, jolting Cheryl awake. Groggily, she reached over and turned it off. As she stretched, Toni began to stir, slowly turning around in the bed. Cheryl glanced at her daughter and gently shook her shoulder.

"Good morning, sweetheart. It's time for school," Cheryl whispered.

Rubbing her eyes, Grace groaned, "Just five more minutes, Mom."

Chuckling softly, Cheryl replied, "You sound just like your momma. Five minutes, that's it."

She scolded her daughter, Rising from the bed, she quickly changed into fresh clothes and made her way downstairs to the warm and inviting kitchen.

As she entered the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled her senses.

Cheryl decides to surprise her children with a delicious pancake breakfast on Valentine's Day morning. She wakes up early, filled with excitement, and heads to the kitchen. She grabs the pancake batter, a cup of water, and two tablespoons of oil, ready to whip up a special treat for her loved ones.

As Cheryl starts mixing the ingredients together in a large bowl, she feels a sudden chill. Cold hands sneak under her shirt, gently caressing her pale stomach. Startled, Cheryl turns to find her Wife standing behind her.

"Good morning, mommy. Happy Valentine's Day," Toni whispers softly into Cheryl's ear, her warm breath tickling her skin.

Surprised and touched by her Toni's sweet gesture, Cheryl smiles and replies, "Good morning, baby. Happy Valentine's Day to you too." She turned over and plants a loving kiss on Toni's cheek. Toni looks up at Cheryl with big, innocent eyes and asks, "Do you need help?"

"Nope, ain't you supposed to be at work?" Cheryl questioned, raising an eyebrow at Toni.

"No, I took off. You think I'm going to miss our baby's birthday?" Toni replied, a mischievous smile on her face.

"Shit, I have to do the twins' hair and get them dressed," Cheryl muttered, realizing she had forgotten about their morning routine.

Cheryl let out a curse word, causing Toni to raise an eyebrow.

"Cheryl, didn't we say no more curse words?" Toni asked, playfully scolding her wife.

"Well, the kids aren't around," Cheryl replied with a mischievous grin, trying to defend herself.

Toni couldn't help but burst into laughter at Cheryl's cheeky response. It reminded her of the way Grace, Cheryl's daughter, always managed to inherit her mother's unconventional sense of humor.

"You're right, Cheryl," Toni chuckled. "Good thing Grace isn't here to pick up on those words. I can already imagine her taking after you in every way possible." Cheryl smiled as Toni continued.

"Are they going to school or not?" Toni asked, a quizzical look on her face.

"No, I was going to take them, but I changed my mind," Cheryl said, flipping pancakes on the stove.

"Mhm, so I also took tomorrow off so we can have some alone time to make up for Valentine's Day," Toni said, seductively running her fingers through Cheryl's fiery red hair.

"Well, I can't wait for tomorrow then... Actually, Toni, can you finish the pancakes while I go and get the twins dressed?" Cheryl asked.

"Yeah, of course, babe," Toni replied, accepting the spatula from Cheryl.
