[The twins are five months October, 17]
"Toni!" Cheryl called out from the living room downstairs.
Toni's heart raced as she heard the excitement in Cheryl's voice. Curiosity consumed her as she hurriedly grabbed her jacket and made her way downstairs.
"Yes babe, what's happening?" Toni called out.
Without hesitation, Cheryl exclaimed, "Hurry, come look!"
Toni dashed down the stairs, curiosity painted across her face. "What's going on?" she asked, trying to catch her breath.
"Look, look, they're sitting up!" Cheryl exclaimed.
Toni joined in, her heart swelling with love as she picked up little Ginger and placed a tender kiss on her forehead.
"They're so cute," Toni whispered, unable to contain her joy.
"He still needs some help, but he's got this, you got this baby," Cheryl encouraged, watching him.
"Now all you have to say is 'momma,' say 'mom-ma,'" Toni gently coaxed, eager to hear their child say their first word.
But Cheryl playfully objected, "Ah, no! You got Grace and Daen last time. Their mine!" she laughed, lovingly teasing Toni.
Toni smiled. "You had Dale or first baby. Okay, now it's my turn," she agreed playfully.
Cheryl grinned mischievously. "Yeah, and this time, I'll have them both," she said.
"Look, Mama!" Grace exclaimed as she walked into the living room, her little legs strutting proudly. Toni had placed ginger down sitting her up, taken aback by Grace's appearance.
"Oh, kid, show Mommy," Toni said, unable to contain her laughter.
"Look, Mommy!" Grace beamed, twirling around in her borrowed boots.
"Gracie!" Cheryl said, surprised.
Toni, still laughing at the situation.
"Take off my heels, please," Cheryl requested.
Grace frowned. "But I look nice," she protested, as she plopped on the chaise lounge.
"Yes, you look decent, but those are for me, not you," Cheryl explained, trying to maintain her composure.
Toni was still chuckling. "She looks so cute, though," she said, finding the sight of Grace in oversized heels adorable.
"Toni, it's not funny," Cheryl scolded her, trying to hide a smile.
"Toni I wear those when we-" But then Cheryl paused and thought for a moment.
"When you what, mommy?" Grace asked innocently, unzipping the other heel.
Cheryl exchanged an embarrassed glance with Toni. "Cheryl, now I can't unsee it," Toni said.
"Alright, let's get you out of those, kiddo," Toni suggested, finally composing herself.
"Okay," Grace agreed, slipping off the heels.
"Go take them back upstairs, please," Cheryl said, her tone firm.
She watched as Grace, a mischievous grin on her face, quickly jumped up and darted towards the stairs. Once Grace had disappeared upstairs, Cheryl couldn't help but shake her head. She turned to Toni.
"Why couldn't you let her wear them?" Toni asked, teased annoyance clear in her voice.
"I was going to, but color me shocked when I saw her in those," Cheryl replied, frustration evident in her voice.
